Its the Bates Motel
It's the BATES Motel....strange people hanging outside, smoking and making noise all night. NO PLACE FOR THE DOG TO POOP EITHER. We did not feel safe. There is no one in the office, just a Kiosk to check in. Would never recommend but was the only place that took dogs.

Great value and location
There are only 2 hotels in St Helens, OR and this is the cheaper of the two. Still though, the price was very reasonable the room was clean and everything worked. Bed was comfy and despite the hotel being 2/3 full it was very quiet. Have no idea abt the staff, because I never saw any. The property was quite clean with two restaurants and shopping nearby. No pool, spa, or roomservice, but why spend more for amenities many won't use. An overall excellent experience in a clean, well kept property.

I stayed here for over 2 months and things went OK at first the rooms aren't great but not bad for the price
This hotel isn't the nicest but the staff was always polite the reason for my bad review is they do not know or acknowledge thier privacy policies for 1 and 2 even though they say that if u cancel ur reservation that u will be fully refunded they do not honor either policy in any way I only used thier website to book my room which was a big mistake because they say u can make a claim for a refund but refer u to a customer service number and the representatives there just hang up on you so you can't make the claim don't book using thier website they are thiefs I paid for 2 night and never even entered the room and couldn't even make a claim to get my money back it's repulsive. The people on site are very nice but if you have to deal with the kiosk after hours go somewhere else for sure I can't stress this enough

Bathroom biohazard but otherwise okay ;)
I am confident that we stayed in the same room as the traveler who reported a dirty bathroom. Complete with a clump of hair stuck to the shower tiles. So....we just used the bathroom for the toilet. Plenty of towels to clean up in the sink and to date....we haven't contracted anything. The check in process was weird to be virtual. And they did say to come back if there were any problems before 10pm....but to complain to a kiosk seemed pointless so close to the cut off. TV was very static heavy. Heat and AC took a bit to figure out but all in all it was a basic room and it served us well. Diner was comfy, food and price point were decent. Staff seemed to be put off by our showing up but cheered up during the visit. Close to walmart and mcdonalds so there wasn't much that could go wrong.

Check-in was a robot but was OK.
This is an older motel in a poor area. Our ADA room was completely renovated & nice and fully accessible. Bed was very firm, great A/C, plenty of hot water, plenty of ice. Room had a fridge & micro but no coffee maker. No easy chair and no table in the room. Coffee was in the lobby at 6:00 am. All in all, a good value - our room was $79 total.
