Oregon Motor Inn
This place is filthy and the owners are extremely rude. During my one night stay (ended up leaving in the middle of the night) I experienced bedbugs. When I went to the office the lady was very rude saying "no bedbug" in broken English. I left only to sleep in my vehicle (actually didn't get to sleep). I missed an entire day of work, loosing pay. Spent around 250.00 on chemicals, laundry and auto detailing. That didnt count loosing the money for the night of the room. I wanted to save a little cash so I chose a low end dump and never again will I do that. I have traveled for over ten years for work and never in all that time have I experienced bedbugs. Not only loosing way too much money, I also had to deal with the disgust and it being a baring on my mental health. I booked through Priceline and the representative said they would get back to me to make it right, well its day three and still waiting. If you're trying to save a few bucks I suggest not staying at this bedbug infested dump.
Absolute last resort.
I would definitely not recommend at all! I wish I took pictures about how bad our room was. There was stains over everything, smelled disgusting as well as how I would say “love stains” on the blanket on the bed as well as what appeared to be blood. 0/10 would not recommend. Couldn’t wait to get of there, bathroom was absolutely disgusting as well.
This is an older property that does not deserve these bad reviews. I found my one night stay comfortable and very quiet. It is a no frills hotel but who cares? It’s in the downtown area of The Dalles on old US highway 30. If you need a place that’s comfortable, quiet and has a great shower, this is it.
Stayed for Total Eclipse
No price gouging! Clean, fridge, good beds. Tired decor. Not able to stay for breakfast as going to the Eclipse in Madras meant an early start. This was inexpensive and had a good pub, The Clockhouse in short walking distance. Would stay again if touring this way.
We travel with our little dog so look for pet friendly hotels. Their staff was totally rude, the room was just filthy from the carpet to the shower stall, and its a fire trap if we ever saw one I couldnt wait for the night to end so we could leave. The wifi is free but wouldnt connect so I ended up using the free "The Dalles" wifi. Room was smoke free (hardly) it totally stank of cigarettes and used butts were laying all over outside like people just stood and through them off the balcony. We ended up spending way too much to stay in this hotel. For the price we could have stayed in a Best Western and had a nice clean room, friendly staff and breakfast
