Horrible
The breakfast was terrible. Everything was cold and they ran out of coffee. They provided tortilla shells with nothing to fill them. Waffle batter was out as well. The tub was slippery and dangerous to step in. The digital room key DID NOT WORK.

Clean but…
Hotel was clean and new. Ms. Gia at the front desk was very nice and accommodating. Only fall back is the lack of microwave in the room. You have to go down to heat your food. We only stayed overnight, which was good…morning breakfast is very decent as well.

Needs some Compeition
The front desk staff is wonderful and extremely professional. It goes down hill from there: - The hotel does not pay attention to requests in your Hilton profile when preparing your room, and it lacks the touches such as a welcome message on the tv when you enter the room. - The hotel does not provide hair conditioner in the room. I stopped by the front desk at 7:10 a.m. on a Sunday morning to request some and they couldn’t assist me because Housekeeping wasn’t in yet. Do they not value women travelers? - The breakfast is mediocre at best. The coffee isn’t hot enough - even early in the morning. There are no healthy choices such as yogurt without sugar or artificial sweeteners or cut fruit. Just lots of sugar and empty calories. One day (we have stayed here multiple times) the trash was overflowing and the staff seemed unconcerned. - Some of the furnishings are tired. The mattress we had on our recent visit was well used (to put it mildly), it looked like someone had punched or dented the wall, and unmatched box springs were in plain view. - Neither of the electric car chargers worked. This hotel is pretty much the only game in town, and it’s not horrible. But it also isn’t up to Hampton Inn standards.

Expensive and crappy breakfast
I spend 90+ nights per year in just Hilton brands alone and travel to Portland/Sherwood regularly. I'm middle aged and not high maintenance. Additionally due to my industry/company, I was required to travel during the entire COVID nightmare. I totally understand the challenges and changes the pandemic brought to hotels and have a great deal of respect for the hospitality industry as a whole. However new-ish; this Hampton Inn is lacking the standards I expect from the brand. My major issues: Lady at check-in was not proficient in English. She was confused by how I was able to select my room prior to my arrival, nor did she respond to my text messages via the app. She didn't acknowledge my diamond status until after I was checked in and only when I forced the topic. Room smelled like a wet dog. Room door; extremely difficult to engage the deadbolt. Even with all the lights on and window shade up; room was too dark to work in. No hair conditioner provided but separate body and hand soap dispensers? Breakfast each morning at 8:00am sucked! Missing the options typically found at all Hampton Inns. No yogurt, no cut fruit, no power/breakfast bars, missing toppings for oatmeal. biscuits and gravy with no biscuits. I addressed this with the breakfast lady to be told they are out or just don't offer it. I don't believe either car charging station worked my entire 5 days there. Checkout was a different lady. Asked me if I was an honors member when it clearly states on my folio "Diamond" and my number. At $169.00 (including tax) per night; expensive for such a disappointing Hampton Inn experience.
