  Great value though a little tired looking.

  I found the Shilo Inns Rose Garden a good value. Within walking distance of Moda Center and Lloyd Center and easy access to freeways, the location is it best selling point. Yes, the hotel is dated and tried-looking. But, the hotel is well-maintained. The room was very clean and, again, well-maintained. The area around the Shilo was a little sketchy for walking but you can easily drive any where in Portland from this location. The front desk staff was friendly and offered to help at every turn. Best value in the area.

  Nice and Comfortable Room

  Perfect room for couple. Room was very nice, spacious clean and comfortable - perfect for our needs. Convenient to the airport for our last night in the area. Would stay again here if in the same area. Please be advise this hotel is also known as "Sojourn Suites Portland Airport" on some booking sites.

  Needs an update

  Spent a night here recently. I booked the room without reading previous reviews. I expected a Shiloh in to represent the brand honorably, but was disappointed. The lobby was not accessible, instead you stood outside and took care of the transaction through a window. The hallway was dingy, and upon entering the room found the furniture was dated and scratched. Found the bathroom to be small and towels the size of a postage stamp.

  Worst hotel i have ever stayed in. Furniture is so scratched walls banged up. Paint foot prints on flooring. Fridge not level. I was afraid it was going to fall out of the cabinet. Tile broken in bathroom by the toilet. Bed squeezed. The check in was very unprofessional. He was wearing sweats and smoking outside. We had to stand outside in the cold to be checked in. We weren't allowed in the lobby. I am praying the bed has no germs.

  A place to stay during the national geology conference.

  This hotel serves the convention center in Portland. It has a free parking. The basics of the room were clean. Not the details. The furniture was scheduled for replacement 10 years ago... No breakfast room and no nearby places to eat. The area populated by tent people. Stay very alert and focus. There was a Seven-eleven very near by but all barricaded and with the sign "by appointment only" (for real) !!!!!!!!!!! One star is when you walk out. This was a two star venue.
