Called Portland’s oldest (and most haunted!) bar, this rock ‘n’ roll tavern also offers 11 cozy guestrooms for those who just can’t leave the party early. Built in 1905, the White Eagle is just blocks away from the MAX public transport line. With live music every night, an outdoor beer garden, full menu offering Northwest pub fare and original antique décor, this is the place to be if you love music, history, merriment and beyond.

No frills, with character
White Eagle is a no frills stay, but with character. The rooms are all named and cleverly painted. Beds are comfortable. Note that bathrooms and showers are down the hall. It is above a cool bar, so noisy. You can get beer and bring it up to your room.

Great place to stay for a truly Portland-centric experience!
I love staying at the White Eagle. The location is very convenient, the food is good, and the nightly entertainment is enjoyable. There are shared bathrooms and showers but that is part of the McMenamins experience. I recommend staying here for a truly Portland-centric experience and the price is right!

Cute, fun hotel near Moda Center
Great, old hotel at a great price. Rooms are clean and quaint. Close to the Moda Center and perfect place to stay over after a concert. The restaurant and bar are fun with great performances. I didn’t witness any paranormal activity but maybe next visit.

Cute, cozy, good value.
Quirky spot in Portland. We stayed just one night here and it was an interesting experience. Free parking which is always nice. Good bar/restaurant with good service. Cajun tots are delicious! Rooms are very unique. We were in the Spaceman room. I wasn’t a huge fan of having to go into the hall in the middle of the night to use the bathroom but it was fine. Pretty quiet in the room. Very glad I hadn’t read reviews beforehand which talk about the place being haunted or I would’ve had a hard time sleeping!
