Excellent option for Joseph
Location was 5 minute walk into town and 5 minute drive to Wallowa Lake. We stayed in the Eagle Cap room for 3 nights which had its own bathroom, a king bed and two twin beds upstairs in the loft. Communication was efficient via text, the grounds were beautiful and the included breakfast was delicious. The only downside was the tiny outdated bathroom that felt like an afterthought in comparison to the purposeful design presented throughout the lodging.

Nice place, but my arrangement was not
We had a small room with a shared bath, a bed and a hide a bed. Since there were 2 of us and only friends, I lost the coin toss and got the hide a bed, which was less than ideal. I didn't make the reservations or I definitely would not have chosen that option. The place was clean and quiet. There is a nice deck with mountain views and a nice garden. We were a large bicycle group and arranged an excellent breakfast, which was awesome, the saving grace.

Great Place To Stay in Joseph Oregon
Nice location right in town. Room was very comfortable and clean. There were numerous outside sitting areas with fire pits that made a nice resting area at the end of a long day. The host was very friendly and helped us with local questions. Restaurants and shopping are right down the street. We highly recommend the Kokanee Inn.

Loved our stay! Breakfast was very accomodating to dietary needs
We shared the Columbia Suite with another couple we know and it was perfect. The shared living area was a great place to hang out, and it's always nice when there is kettle, fridge, and microwave available - along with snacks for anyone feeling peckish. Madeline was delightful, very kind and accomodating, and breakfast was fantastic. The garden is beautiful and I only wish we'd had time to hang out on the upstairs deck. A one night stay is not enough! Room was very comfortable and spacious and we slept extremely well!

Good Hotel, But Overpriced
Make no mistake the Kokanee Inn is well maintained, has a great staff, and is located in a good spot just off the main stretch of shops in Joseph. The breakfast is perhaps the best part of the experience here and is served 7a-9a daily. The Inn also offers complimentary snacks and drinks, which is a wonderful bonus. I just want to say the price, to me, is too much for what you get. The rooms are clean and comfortable but fairly average. You do have to share restrooms with other guests. They have a decent amount, however, and we only shared ours with one other occupied room. I typically expect to save a little money when sharing a restroom, but I would not call the rate we paid a savings. Additionally, guests must share a fridge and there was not a TV in the room. Small amenities, but I feel like the price they are charging merits an in-room fridge and TV. Lastly, the information we had indicates daily room service, but our room was not made after the first of two nights. This is a good hotel and you will enjoy your stay. My beef, however, is with the value. If I'm paying that much for a night, I'm expecting all the amenities to be stellar and it just wasn't there for me. Sorry to throw cold water on the 5 star parade, but this is simply average with a good breakfast.
