See if this sounds at all like you: You’re really psyched about cycling in Oregon, because you’ve heard it’s a pedaling paradise. But you’re not quite sure how to pull it off — where to ride, the best roads, how to safely connect the Oregon Coast, the Willamette Valley and the Cascades… things like that. Well, you couldn’t do much better than to have your own personal consultant helping you out with that. We do that.

If you’re looking for more information on Oregon’s Scenic Bikeways or any other bike trip in Oregon, there’s a resource to help you plan that trip. Travel Oregon’s Ask Oregon ambassador program has local experts ready to answer visitors’ travel questions. For cyclists that includes bicycle-tour director/ cycling guide author/zealous trip-planner Jim Moore; for other types of adventures there are whitewater river guides, family travelers and other passionate Oregonians available to provide guidance and insight.

The program takes a “how much help do you need?” approach; ambassadors can answer single questions or construct multi-week, detailed itineraries — and everything in between. Over the last few years we’ve planned and mapped routes for groups from Australia, England and Scotland, as well as folks from all over the U.S. This can extend to shuttle services, lodging and restaurant recommendations, highlights of daily routes and more.

Oh, did we mention that this is a free service? Travel Oregon offers the program to encourage people to find out what our ambassadors already know: that Oregon is a supremely wonderful place to ride and recreate.
