Located on the Metolius River, Camp Sherman STore was established in 1918 by farmers from Sherman County. The store has continued to serve as a community hub where friends meet to share the day’s news, get the fishing report, stock up on what they forgot and what they didn’t know they needed. The store offers visitors a general store, deli and fly shop.

I was very disappointed with our experience at this store because we love visiting the Metolius river and we always make sure to stop in for pastries and Camp Sherman merchandise. During our latest visit my 4 year old had an accident on the sidewalk while on his way to the restroom. He was with my wife when it happened and they both worked together to get water, clean up the mess, and apologized to the young staff member who unfortunately stepped in the puddle on his way out the back door of the building. An older gentleman, who I assume is an owner or manager because he referred to the store as "my building" took it upon himself to berate both of them (he did not witness the event) until they were both in tears. Unaware of what happened, I came from the fly shop in the back to the front of the store to purchase fly fishing supplies when he confronted me, insulted me about "how I choose to raise my family," and made accusations that my child ran through his workshop to get to the back of the building. He did not. We got to spend the next several hours of our vacation helping our child process his experience with "the angry man at the store." Honestly, the rest of the staff were very friendly and I really enjoyed my conversation with the gentleman in the fly shop. It's too bad that one individual can ruin it for everyone. We will not be returning.

Just the best! Feels like the 'good old days.' Nice food to go. Great breakfast burritos. Fun place to visit again and again.

Fun place for a snack and a souvenir.
This store is a must-stop and see. You can get all your needs met here if you need to top anything up for your camping trip. Need a locally made stocking cap? They have them. Breakfast burrito and espresso? Yup, got that too. Groceries? Check. Souveniers? Check. Bait and tackle? yup. Everyone visiting the Metolius should also plan to visit this store. It's just fun.

Perfect store for weekend getaway
If passing ANYWHERE near Camp Sherman for a little get away, plan to stop at the store and pick up some special food. From German Chocolate fudge brownie to a bottle of Italian Barolo wine at a reasonable price, to marcona almonds to stilton cheese to truffles, they have it all! Support Local and grab your picnic stuff there. They also have a gas pump. Not far off Hwy 20 near Sisters. Only open Fri-Sun during winter months I think. Been here over 100 years, and you should definitely stop in just to see the massive display case of dry flies for sale to fishermen...
