Artist Gary Ernest Smith has left undeniable brushstrokes on the world of Western Art. His timeless representations of rural life have shaped and redefined what we see as “ordinary.”
After a long and fruitful career, Smith is returning home to his roots in Baker City, Oregon, to hold his final retrospective event. “Towards Home: The Art of Gary Ernest Smith” will be hosted at Baker City’s Crossroads Carnegie Art Center. Once the 1909 Carnegie Library Building, this prominent piece of Baker City history hosts diverse Arts Education programs year-round. Crossroads continues to evolve and grow as one of the finest art centers in Oregon. It regularly features esteemed artists showcasing their art year-round, including Gary E. Smith in his retrospective from May 24th – July 21st.
