Raising Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Persons

Join the community and Indigenous Tribes – the Confederated Tribes of the Coos, Lower Umpqua and Siuslaw Indians and the Coquille Indian Tribe – for a special event on the Coos Bay Boardwalk to recognize missing, murdered and endangered Indigenous persons. Together honoring those lost and advocating for justice and protection for Native Peoples. Event begins at 12:30pm with a guest speaker and light refreshments on the Boardwalk. Followed by the showing of “Wind River” at the Historic Egyptian Theater at 2:30pm. Wear Red to honor those lost and free admission to the film. *Due to subject matter of the film “Wind River”, viewer discretion is advised.
