Favorite Sushi and Teriyaki in the PNW!
I’ve lived in Portland for over a decade and as far as I’m concerned, it’s hard to beat this restaurant. The price, consistency, quality, and menu are insane and AUTHENTIC. When Japanese businesses men and families happen through, this is where they come for a taste of home. I’ve been eating from this family’s menu for more than 15years and I wouldn’t take my fiancé or business partner anywhere else for sushi or teriyaki. Just superb!

Flip a Coin
Well, this one’s a tough one for us because we really like Tokyo Teryaki when it’s good and we really don’t like it when it’s an off - night. We actually eat here quite often and we order the exact same thing every time. We never know whether it’s going to be a good night or a mediocre night. Inconsistencies at restaurant is one of our biggest pet peeves. Honestly, we can order on a Monday and have an absolutely perfect meal made exactly the way we ask, then, we can order the same week on a Wednesday and it’s just meh! Not only does the quality vary but the portions vary as well. Their saving grace is that their good nights have far outweighed the bad nights three to one. May you eat here on a good night!

Prices up - quality meh - service down
If you are local don't bother calling it in for takeout because they won't start making it until you arrive anyway. Also, double check your food. I was given the wrong stuff after repeatedly referencing my order. Try not to lean on stuff while you wait an hour in close quarters for your food, It's greasy and sticky in there. They recently raised those prices for sure - I was a little shocked this last time. Probably my last time. I had diarrhea for two days afterward.

Very Good Menu
I've dined at Tokyo Teriyaki twice now during visits to Astoria and I appreciate their variety and great service. This last time I enjoyed the Tendon, one of my favorites. I took carry out, even though they have great seating that is socially distanced and booths that are separate. One mistake, they only gave me soy sauce while Tendon, with its tempura should have the more sweet tempura sauce.
