Seating capacity fits 35 guests with additional seating on the Terrace during temperate weather. Also features an intimate private dining room for up to 12 guests. The smaller room is very pretty and comfortable. The rest of the restaurant is just plain, not much to look at, but clean. The food was just ordinary. Not much flavor to my vegetable chow mein, and the garlic chicken was also very bland. Used to be much better. We might try it one more time at a later date, and probably for dinner when they might have a different cok.

I ordered the Mu Shu chicken to go. I was pleasantly surprised by how tasty it was - some of the best Mu Shu I’ve had in awhile.

My husband and I were visiting from Montana and had dinner with my sister at the Rice Bowl. Not only was our Combination Sizzling Plate, Walnut Prawns and Beef Broccoli excellent, but the ambiance, (orchids all around, a beautiful fish tank and blooming flowers outside), just made the experience even better. And Shao, the proprietress, adds a touch of authenticity and humor. We couldn't have had a better time. Linda and Gil Parker

The Best Chinese Food on the Coast
This restaurant serves the best Chinese food on the Oregon Coast. While I was there, I was enchanted by the beautiful orchids, plants and a meticulously maintained fish tank. Very efficient and pleasant service. Being from San Francisco, I've been spoiled by great Chinese food. What a delight to find this gem in Brookings.

Excellent Chinese Food
We were made to feel very welcome on arrival and we’re served quickly and efficiently by the owner who went out of her way to help with the available choices. The food arrived quickly and was excellent, very well prepared and plentiful. All round a very good place to eat while in Brookings.
