Consistently Yummy
Many exceptional food choices, friendly and efficient staff. Their sandwiches, of which there are a number of choices, are all a cut above. There's even a choice of special seasoned French fries. Great salads, too. Oh, and the desserts! You can't go wrong, their food is really good...honestly.

T Paul & Heather a great Mix
We had a fantastic dinner tonight with a group of 10 upstairs, and it was a delightful experience. We enjoyed being ourselves and being a bit loud, and our charming server, Heather, truly elevated our evening. The food was absolutely wonderful, and the service was top-notch. This is definitely a great place to visit, where friendly people provide exceptional service. It’s a very nice spot!

Salmon was perfectly cooked and don't miss the desserts.
If you're here solely for the atmosphere, it is...eclectic. And everywhere. The owner has a gentle and wide ranging sense of humor, but that's okay. You can't eat atmosphere. What you CAN eat is a incredible experience in food. We ordered off the lunch menu. I can't find it on their website without having to deal with the face book nonsense. So I'll describe it as best I can...seared salmon with a citrusy sauce and pilaf. The salmon was absolutely perfectly cooked. I cook salmon often, and can tell you that if you overcook salmon, you won't want it again. Not here! The chef was definitely on his game as the salmon was fabulous. My spouse had the fettucine with blackened chicken. It was VERY good. As is usual in upperscale restaurants, the food was served in large, oversized plates. I thought, oh dear, another small portioned meal on a great big plate place. Nope. We were ALMOST full, the serving size was decent. Did we want dessert? We did have room.... Oh wow. My spouse had the rhubarb/raspberry crisp with vanilla ice cream, 'very GOOD vanilla" ice cream he says. I took a stab at something I'd never heard of: Swedish raspberry panacotta. Oh my dog. It came in a tall parfait glass, dripping with REAL raspberry sauce, (probably locally grown), topped with whipped cream, and the custard? Good googlymoogly, it was to die for. It's an eggless vanilla custard that was worth every swedish kroner. Prices were VERY reasonable, considering that on the other side of the Columbia, this meal would have cost twice as much. We waddled out into our typical PNW rain. We'd parked kitty corner in a FREE parking lot. That's another thing to like about Astoria. While there's parking on the street, there's also parking lots and all are free. Service" our server was a cheerful and pleasant young lady who was prompt, attentive and professional. Bathrooms were clean, ample and spotless. Oh, yes, we'll go back.

Loud and questionable service
As locals we own a beach home in Warrenton. We were excited to try out the restaurant that we had heard rave reviews about. When we arrived we were seated upstairs which was fun with us. We are a family of 3 and our daughter is 16 years old. Within minutes two large parties with very loud young children were seated in the same upper area. Our server stopped paying attention to us and checked in only with those tables. The other families were including loud and we could barely carry on a conversation. I am all for going out to dinners with young children because I did that with our daughter but I was not impressed with our service once we are labeled to be in that dining area.
