DISAPPOINTING
I enjoy stopping here for coffee and a treat whenever I'm passing through on my way home from the coast. The service has always been helpful and friendly, plus the baked items were tasty and of good value. On this trip, however, none of the ladies were to be seen, and the fellow at counter was neither helpful or friendly. I was misquoted the price for sourdough bread, causing unnecessary confusion, delay, and embarrassment. Why didn't they just mark it or put up a sign? (ORS 616.860 (1), I believe, addresses this situation.) The sticky bun was decent, but the icing on the maple bar was runny/drippy. The sourdough, selling for an overpriced artisan price, tasted like regular white bread. Had I not been flustered by the price confusion, I would have paid closer attention to the ingredients (which included soybean oil, cornstarch, and datem) and passed it over. The atmosphere was so different on this visit, that my first question for the guy at the register was if there were new owners.

Windy Bay Quilt Retreat
Leona's Sugar Shack Bakery provided deliciously fresh pastries for our Windy Bay Quilt Retreat. The smiles abound when I arrive each morning with boxes of freshly made treats to enjoy with morning coffee keeping our energy levels high as we sew each day. Thank you Leona!

Sugar Shack
Large selection, everyone in our party really liked what they had. Bit run down, flooring and restroom need to be redone. Great customer service

Absolutely delicious!
Walked in to the nicest woman working behind the counter, we had never been there before and she took the time to explain what everything was and the flavors. I ended up getting this little chocolate pig that was chocolate cake with cream filling and covered in chocolate ganache. It was heavenly! I also got some raspberry filled donuts which my husband loved and another pastry which I forgot the name of but it was like a massive donut with cinnamon and it was so good that we made another stop before our flight left to grab some more to bring home for our family. This place is a must stop!

Leona’s Sugar Shack
Leona’s is a well known bakery to locals and tourists alike and Leona also owns a restaurant in Reedsport with the same name. The Sugar shack has fresher bake goods including donuts, pies, cakes, pastries, bread and ice cream and they’ll even make you special shaped breads to order. We often order sour dough bread bowls for our clam chowder and the creame filled Bigfoot bars, fresh scones and berry pies. Leona still owns the place and can be seen working most days in the bakery. It’s a must try!
