Average Authentic
Wanting to try to for a while. Authentic? Um, not really. Opens at 11:00. The place was locked, and blinds closed until 11:05. Then, we saw them through the window and still did not open the door. Nice service, not very attentive, but sweet. I judge a Mexican food restaurant by the rice and beans. Rice had too much adobo seasoning, and whole beans. No refried beans! Never have I been to a Mexican food restaurant in US that did not have refried beans, much less all the restaurants in Mexico, The adobo seasoning was a heavy poor in the rice and the enchilada red sauce. The carne asada was flavorful, but tough. Will not eat them again, sadly.

Super burrito..yummmm!
We are from out of town and had someone tell us about Maria’s . I’m so glad we stopped by. We asked what is really good, and the server (who was very sweet) suggested the “super burrito”. We got two, to go. They were HUGE. She said they are nearly two pounds. Presentation was really nice . The taste was great. Lots of meat! The meal came with chips and salsa. It’s a tiny building..blink and you will miss it. But definitely worth looking for and trying. Our friends go there every “taco Tuesday “ and love it. So did we.

Hidden gem!
Maria's caught me off guard. We went there as a referral by a friend. When you walk in and look at the menu, it's a combo Mexican/Thai restaurant. Seems like an odd combo, but we were pleasantly surprised!! I ordered a ground beef burrito and the bad boy is big! As soon as I took the first bite, I was struck with burrito love! The burrito was pretty good size and I wasn't sure I could eat it all. Alas, Mom would be happy as plate was clean! I was stuffed and had a big smile on my face! Would I stop in again?? Absolutely! Great flavor and a really good price!!!

Mediocre Mexican Food - But . . . .
This is the only Mexican restaurant that serves it's meals on cold plates. They do make a good tamale but buy them to go and take them home and steam them yourself with your own sauce, if you like them sauced. Ironically, the few Thai food offerings they have are very good.

Delicious!
A great restaurant! My wife and kids eat here often, and the food is always spectacular. The atmosphere is quiet and cozy, and the staff is the same. I've tried a lot of the Thai and a few of the Mexican dishes, and I've never been disappointed.
