Way better than I expected
I arrived late afternoon in Seaside and did not know any of the restaurants, so I researched a bit. Came across this gem and my first thought was "hmm, I'm not really in the mood for "country" type cooking. Looked at a bunch of other restaurants and nothing really caught my eye, so I ended up on Maggie's listing again and looked at the menu. I immediately noticed the Braised Pork Cheeks and those are one of my favorite items, so I decided to go. What a delight! Food was delicious. The grits was the best I've ever eaten. Buttery and gooey. Yum. The only small suggestion: I would not pair this dish with a super strong winter green vegetable like kale, because the taste of that vegetable overpowered the Pork Cheeks. Other than that, it was stellar.

Great place right on Prom
This restaurant is located on the bottom floor of the Seaside Oceanfront Inn. We actually obtained the last table without a reservation the other night and were served by Richard, who made our meal all the better with his great customer service and recommendations. Great food, really nice atmosphere and you can access it from the Prom or Inn. There is a patio that is open on nicer days but this day was not one of them. They serve lunch and dinner so no breakfast at this time but I imagine that could change any time. Thank you for a wonderful meal.

Great Food, Service and Location
We had an excellent dinner and lovely sunset show on a Friday evening. The salmon entree was delicious with purple sweet potato purée, a tomato siracha topping and sautéed kale. My husband had mushrooms with these interesting air fried rice balls. I can’t remember the official name. Salads with frisée, dried cranberries, pipetas, finely grated cheese and a nice vinaigrette dressing were tasty. Service was friendly and attentive. Will definitely be back when in Seaside again.

Dining with my 3 dachshunds
Good food & atmosphere. It was a chilly, but clear night for dining on the patio. Easy walk down the prom. The best part I brought my 3 dachshunds with me. The owner was so accommodating. I asked her if it was too cold to serve us outside, her answer "if you can do it, so can I".

Average Experience
It was a standard dining experience. We needed seating outside and had to wait 20-25 to be seated. During this time, the tables just sat empty. Not sure why the process took so long. They did state that they were overwhelmed because there was a party of 10-12 people also seated outside. Separate from this, we ordered soup, sandwiches, and burgers. All tasted standard.
