I ordered a chicken wrap and it was bland with wilted lettuce. My husband had a bacon doublcheeseburger and he liked it. We ordered our food and took back to our hotel.

Grabbed a couple of orders of fish and chips to go. Got to our camp spot I first observation looks like the fish was cut in half(we had ordered this before the pieces were very thin! Cooked to a crisp they were so thin. Husband who is not a picky eater expiration dates mean nothing to him, he couldn’t eat this said his even smelled spoiled. We had no faith in even trying the coleslaw. What a waist of money. Learned our lesson!!

Local business with many food options and lots of TVs
We arrived a little after noon on a Saturday and the place was hopping. People never stopped coming in. We were told we could sit anywhere (except the bar with a kiddo) and found a seat near the counter. We got menus right away but it took a while for someone to come and take our order. 3 servers often were having personal conversations (loudly) at the counter while rolling silverware (oddly we never got any--on napkins). My daughter had a pretzels sticks appetizer. They were good but the cheese sauce had no flavor. My husband had wings and say he liked the dry rub better than the saucy one. I had a wrap with tots. We ordered fries for the table. They don't skimp on portions and the sauces were good. None of us could finish our food and since we were from out of town not worth boxing up. The food was fairly salty. We really needed water after. My tots were either over cooked or half cooked. The service was friendly, after the initial interaction, and we were provided information about specials if we decided to come back such as prime rib night or happy hour. They have ample TVs if you want to watch a game. Overall, worth trying out a local business. They have many options: wings, salads, sandwiches etc. Just nothing special enough to bring us back. Also, we counted at least 4 flies that were on the window or flying around out table/food. Also, as more people came in tables were running out as tables were never cleared. We saw 3 servers but no one was clearing off tables.

Some food is not as described or advertised on menu.
I am a mushroom burger fan so I ordered what they referred to as there award winning mushroom burger with grilled portabella mushrooms. This was the worst mushroom burger I've ever eaten!!! They used canned mushrooms not grilled portas as described. Not only that but I had to seriously search for the little 5 pieces of canned mushroom that where actually on the burger. The place has lost my business. If you can't serve what you advertise don't serve it!!

Good burger/salad options
Very impressive remodel of what was a low end dive bar, Mac's is friendly, bright, with solid mid-range food options. Good TV & layout setup in a challenging shaped building squeezed between the railroad and main arterial street.
