Mediocre breakfast but apparently a great bar.
Went for breakfast as the sign said Best Breakfast and it was within walking distance from our room. The breakfast was filling but mediocre at best. Cook and waitresses talk smack to each other for all to hear. Either a playful thing or they just don't like each other, hard to tell. Seems to be a locals place to come have a lot of drinks or have some hair of the dog the next morning. A couple guys walked in either hung over or still drunk. Next time we'll go for drinks at night instead of breakfast in the morning.

Vintage
Had breakfast here before leaving town on January 21, 2019. We had expected to eat at another location but the wait was so long we left. So glad we stumbled upon the Labor Temple Bar and Diner! Firstly, the venue is a nicely restored vintage 1924 Labor Temple. The floors are checker board and there are old temple photos on the walls. I ordered the short stack pancakes, eggs and the hubby ordered their biscuits and gravy special. Because it's a bar you can have drinks with your breakfast if desired. Prices are reasonable, service friendly and prompt. Would definitely come back here and would recommend.

Good Food, Great Price
This place served me wonderful scrambled eggs. Fluffy and not greasy. The atmosphere was nice and the service/food was good. I think this place is a local hangout and a hidden gem.

One of the only bars open after 9pm!!
Just got settled into the hotel and wanted an adult beverage before turning in. Everything around our hotel was closed after 9pm! One of the restaurants told us to go here and we had fun! I thought it was going to be a local dive bar...it's a local bar but not a dive. We closed the place up! There were only 3 of us there after midnight! The bartender was fantastic. She was so cute and really fun to talk to. Thanks for an unexpectedly fun evening!! We didn't have anything to eat so I cannot comment on the menu.

Local Bar with substance
We're just reviewing the bar and it's great. We like local dive bars that are unpretentious and full of local flair and color. This is it in spades. The heavily tattooed bartender was a sweetheart and couldn't have been kinder and nicer to a couple of out of towners. The drinks were well made, hearty, and reasonably priced. Keep the high brow, well heeled, cocktail spot. We prefer real folk with a little grit and a story to tell.
