We had our dinner at Dooger's one of our nights in Seaside on a recent Oregon Coast trip. We had first gone there on our honeymoon 37y ago. 😊 We have gone to Dooger's different locations on every trip we’ve taken to Oregon. It did not disappoint! The waitress was cheerful and efficient. I had the Sauteed shrimp, and my husband had Linguini--both were excellent, and with hearty portions. We went a little on the early side of the evening, so it was not yet super busy. The location was 2 or 3 doors down from our hotel, so the location was very convenient for us. (Although anywhere on Broadway in Seaside is pretty convenient!) Great place, especially for seafood.

Service and food arrival was pretty slow, but we attributed it to the laid-back atmosphere. The clam chowder was more potato than clams and the broth was watery. Other food was very good and they had a great gluten free menu.

Suits the area well
Of course, a nice touristy little beach town like Seaside would offer good seafood. Dooger's doesn't disappoint. Offering a kind of retro vibe it's homey, comfortable, and unrushed. I will say the chowder is the best I've ever tasted, with lots of substance to it. The crab cakes are really good, too. The service was OUTSTANDING! Our server herself was pregnant, but that didn't slow her down. She had really good support, too. It was a great experience. We had to go to the boardwalk/promenade afterward just to walk the meal off!

Wished I would have tried a different seafood restaurant...fries saturated with oil (oil not hot enough) coleslaw average to poor, no flavor, hair on menu!

Receptionists Issues and incompetence of keeping a well organized seating assignment correct.
Upon walking into the establishment had to hunt down a receptionist to take our name down. There were several couples in the waiting area that needed to be sat before us. Our receptionist informed us that our table needed to be cleaned. We took ourselves to the waiting area. Upon sitting next to several couples that waited before us. We had asked how long have they been waiting they stated about 10-15 minutes. We later found out that the other parties were not written down on the waitlist. We left after a party of six walked in and were seated before any of us. We took ourselves business Twisted Fish and was amazed and professional the establishment is.
