Great food! Great service
My sisters and I meet up once a month somewhere along I-5 for lunch. Since we live so far apart. We usually go to Springfield and we chose Cornucopia for our meet up this month. We hadn’t had any experience there but the menu looked good and the reviews seemed positive. I just want to say it was everything we wanted. We had a wonderful server. Her name was Reina. She treated us like her favorite aunties. She had such a friendly positive attitude and was happy to answer any questions we had. We each enjoyed our choices. African Peanut soup in a big bowl for R., Chicken Pot Pie for K. and I got the Philly Cheese Steak sandwich. But there were many other choices I could have made. It was hard to choose. I look forward to visiting there again, maybe next month and enjoying the tasty fresh food and warm hospitality we enjoyed. Thank you Cornucopia and thank you Reina!

179th review, 2nd 1-star review
This was recommended by the hotel I’ve been staying at. It was Thursday night July 21. The hrs posted were open until 930p. I got there at 920p. The “open” sign was posted by the street. The lights were on. The door was unlocked. When I walked in, it was probably 25-35% full. The first thing I noticed was a sign at the front which said “20% gratuity will be added to all prices”. That was a bit of a turnoff, but I wanted to try the place. It had been a long day for me, like the previous 7 days. Another sign said “please wait to be seated”. It took about a minute, but a tall gentleman approached me after he had finished chatting with one of the eating customers. Wanting to be respectful ( I didn’t want them to have me be the only eating customer there at close), I told them I just wanted to get something to go. He told me they were closed. I told them their hrs said 930p (plus the sign still said open at the front). He then said management closed early bc of low traffic that night. I left. 20% gratuity automatically added for a place that closed early bc of low traffic. Oh, one other thing to mention- the World Track and Field Championships are being held at Hayward Field about 3-4 miles away. The area is teeming with visitors! Yup, I can see why they have low traffic anyway.

Good Cheesestake
It was a good lunch with workmates. Not a special lunch meal, but good. The cheesesteak that I ordered was good--not special. I have had many chicken cheesesteaks, including better at this location and the two other Cornucopia's. This day, I believe Jersey Mike's probably had a better cheesesteak at a better price. I think it was an off day--the food is usually spot on. I will go back. The hamburgers are excellent---grass feed beef...

No Return Planned
Four of us went here for lunch, the house was about 1/3 full. It took a long time for us to receive our order and at their inflated prices, you would expect a great meal, not so - average at best. Not a spot we will return to.

New to Springfield
A friend wanted to go, but she kept saying "it's expensive". This is recently opened with a great variety on their menu. With that said, it is very expensive. I honestly don't know how long this place will stay open because their prices are very high.
