All bad
I've eaten there twice. I had the reuben and the grilled chicken sandwich. The food is over-priced and bad. The service is bad. I don't know why anyone would go there.

Brew Pub
Outstanding Sandwiches and Beer, large portions. Their Reubens are wonderful.p, fries homemade as is the beer. What a selection that they have on tap.

Disgusting!
The last two times we were here we enjoyed the homemade fries and pastrami. Today a different chef was working. We received fries, which looked commercial, that had a number of burnt ones. The pastrami was cut thick with huge gobs of fat. It's bad enough that the meal tastes bad, but that $14. was spent, wasted. Guess I will go to TOGO's for pastrami. DaveHW

Not as hoped for
A recent beer reviewer said this branch of the Falling Sky family had a "Pastrami sandwich to die for." Like other native New Yorkers who have reviewed this establishment, I had to try it. The first omen was that on arrival we were told that a party of 14 arrived earlier and the single cook was busy prepping their orders, so the wait for a sandwich, side of slaw and beer would be about 25 minutes. It was a true estimate. The sandwich is indeed very large, mounded on marble rye and came with an optional spicy mustard. In short, the pastrami was not to die for, nor was it to die of. Maybe it was the large group that preceded us, or an otherwise slow Wednesday, but the meat was generous in serving but neither juicy nor tender, the rye bread had seen better days. Not in the league of Katz's or Pastrami Queen. Maybe, like bagels, it's the NYC water that makes pastrami such a marvelous, decadent treat. Falling Sky does very good beer and maybe I'll try them again when the pastrami is fresh, moist and beckoning. Other daily specials looked attractive. Give them a try and keep seeking the holy grail of the Perfect Pastrami.

Great Food
Being from NYC I was skeptical. However, I had a pastrami sandwich and it was great. Good smoky flavor and thick cut. My wife had a salad with salmon and the salmon was excellent. Go for the beer (also very good) and stay for the food. We also went to the Falling Sky Brewhouse off Oak St. but the deli location is so much better.
