About Columbia Park

Located along the western edge of the Deschutes River, the park consists of two distinct shelves. The upper shelf has picnic tables, a large lawn, a horseshoe pit, and a playground featuring the “SS Columbia” ship-like structure, a favorite for kids of all ages, and is known as the “Pirate Ship Park” by many in the community. The lower shelf includes the trail that runs north and south along the eastern edge of the river and connects with the pedestrian bridge over the river. Benches allow visitors to relax and enjoy the river view. A chain link fence and a steep drop prohibit river access.
