Cougar Dam, located about 40 miles east of Eugene, OR, is one of 13 U.S. Army Corps of Engineers dam and reservoir projects in the Willamette River Basin. While the dam generates hydroelectricity and controls flooding, the reservoir is used for recreation, including boating, swimming, and fishing. In the larger Cougar Recreation Area you enjoy campgrounds, hiking trails and more.
