Wonderful Riverfront Retreat!
This place is amazing. I've stayed here twice and plan to come back. I've stayed in both the freestanding cabin with separate bedroom and one of the condo-style studio cabins and they were both wonderful. Honestly I'm not sure which one I prefer. They have updated styling and amenities; they are exactly as the online pictures depict. I found the bed, pillows, and couch to be quite comfortable (and my husband will tell you that I'm quite picky!). The location is perfect, with large decks overlooking a lawn leading gently down to river access at a section with small bays suitable for swimming. (We didn't get it - it's still too cold for me!) There are multple hang-out areas with chairs near the river, a fire pit, and a large paved deck with party lights. Check-in was a breeze and the owner was very responsive by text. I can't believe that there are ever any open cabins here - clearly the word isn't out yet, but I bet this place will be impossible to book soon. Highly recommended!

Pros and Cons
I chose this location to celebrate my retirement and spent two nights in Cabin 1 (these are not authentic cabins but that's what they are called). I was happy to get a room that was separate from the others so no shared walls. I was very much looking forward to being on the river which was my main reason for choosing this location. Needless to say, there were pros and cons to share with anyone who is interested: Pros: Sights and sounds of the Rogue River. By sounds, I mean a loud, rushing river, geese and ducks happily enjoying their lives right in front of the cabin. A nice deck to read on or have a meal. Peace and quiet when I was there in April. A coffeemaker with real coffee; not the pods or little plastic packets. A nice deep and wide bathtub which I enjoyed using. An actual kitchen with a view of the grassy hill on its way to the river. Right near the Rivers Edge restaurant which I HIGHLY recommend! Cons: A hard couch that had very short arms so no way to relax on it and watch a movie. I had to sit ramrod straight to try to watch something but gave up for lack of comfort. Ants! There was something sticky on the kitchen counter (invisible to the eye but I felt it when I checked in) and by evening, the place was swarming with ants. I didn't feel like killing things during my stay so I just let them have at it. Eventually, after consuming the sticky stuff, they mostly drifted away but I couldn't leave any of my own food out and wouldn't recommend anyone else do. Bed was very uncomfortable; lumpy and with very thin, ill-fitting sheets which made the bottom sheet loose and the top sheet twist all over me while trying to sleep. It wasn't the right size for the bed and way too thin. I barely slept. Sliding door vertical blinds were very difficult to open and close; kept getting stuck. One blind just came off its hook and I didn't have a stool or ladder to put it back on so just had to leave it for them to affix it. The price was reasonable for off-season so I accepted both the pros and cons; however, I'd think twice before staying here again because, even though the river is a huge plus, getting good sleep, being able to enjoy flatscreen, and having ants ready to storm my food made it not really something I'd want to do again.
