My wife and I had an absolutely wonderful experience staying our first week in the Maple House. We previously lived 9-miles away for several years and found out about River Vista from out-of-town friends who would stay there while visiting. It is a rustic setting with ALL the comforts of home. The view from the deck cantilevered over the North Umpqua River can be found on post cards. There is a path leading directly below the cabins to a private sparkling clear swimming/fishing hole. Bring your goggles to see salmon and steelhead if you are swimming. Bring your fishing pole if you want to catch your dinner. If you forgot something or need groceries, the Idleyld Trading Post Deli & Liquor Store is 200 feet from your cabin door. The short driveway down to the cabins is steep. Most folks first look at it before driving down to the cabins. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

North Umpqua river dream vacation! I love Idleyld and the River Vista Vacation Homes
I hope everyone gets to experience the river like this!I am so in love with the River Vista Vacation Homes! I never knew the river could be so beautiful, ever-changing with the light, so dreamy picturesque. The beds are so cozy and the energy is amazing!! Thank you Randy! I will be back!

Stunning get-away to connect with nature
Gorgeous spot nestled in a beautiful secluded nook of the world. This area is largely unvisited by the outside world and remains well preserved to this day. We came to enjoy a the riverfront property and indeed it was so inspiring. The home was well kept, clean, the internet was fast, and the kitchen was stocked with utensils and cooking tools we needed. Thanks to the great host, Randy really is a good guy who cares so much about this land out here we're really grateful that he's the caretaker . The only things are that there is no cell service out here, which at times can be a good thing for having an excuse to get away from cell radiation. Also it's a little secluded from the world, so bring your own groceries from Roseburg but the deli at the market next door makes great sandwiches. Definitely great for couples getaways, or private time in an intimate spot of beautiful nature.

Beautiful
Perfect spot, gracious host... we will be back. Comfortable beds, nice kitchen. Gorgeous view. My family was very happy. I don't think I left the house in three days. Great place to forget about the day to day hassles.

Best vacation house ever!!!
Glide is a cool area and worth spending exploring. But this gem is the best kept secret on the river. Randy the owner is the best! He has great houses right on the river, no I mean Right On The River!! He has lots of great insight into fishing for salmon and knows everything about the area. He can tell you the best waterfall and where to see and eagle. Run, don’t walk to stay here! Ask Randy to tell you about the bet places to go. Hike, fish, relax by the river ... this is the best value and best experience in Oregon.
