Beautiful river view from a peaceful RV park
This is where I stay on the Oregon coast. Direct access to the river, beautiful views, peaceful and dark sky. I love that the whole property is paved - no dust! The owner, Megan, and her boys are great. They are committed to making this RV park and campground a fabulous destination for RV travelers.

Rivers Edge RV Park
The resort is located on the southern banks of the Chetco River in Brookings OR. The venue is easily accessible from highway 101 about 2 miles in on South Bank Chetco River Road. The driveway entrance is a bit steep for those planning to ride bicycles back into Brookings. e-bikes work very well with hill assist. Our camp site was right on the river which gave us a great view. An Otter and Whie heron greeted us one morning. Restrooms and showers were clean and well kept, although showers did cost $.25 /8 minutes, almost 3 times better than Cathedral Gorge State Park in NV which was $.25/3 min. A pool would have been nice to relax in but in looking at a number of OR RV parks, pools don’t seem to be a priority.

Well maintained, dog friendly place to stay!
We usually stay a week every year to fish the Rogue. The camping facilities allow us to vacuum pack our daily catch and the office usually accommodates us by allowing access to their freezer if there is space. One big criteria for us is the cleanliness of the restrooms. They are well maintained and the showers are reasonably coin operated. The golf course, Salmon Run, is conveniently located which provides an alternative to fishing. The RV park is very dog conscious with plenty of poop dispenser cans and visitors are highly respectful with there dogs. The RV Park gets better each year we stay.

Beautiful location.
This older park is very well maintained and Megan and her staff are just lovely folks. They did their best to take care of our group of 9 motorhomes. The clubhouse facilities were first rate and Megan and crew set up tables and tablecloths for our various functions while we were there. The full service kitchen was really nice to have. Since the park is over 50 years old, the spaces tend to be a bit on the narrow side, particularly for RV's that have multiple slides. Here's the one big negative and prevented my awarding 5 stars. Although the shrubs between the sites look good. They are hazardous. We periodically have to open water drains from the coach side, or access our storage compartments, and with the slides overhanging the shrubs, maneuvering around them, particularly the ones with long thorns, or stubs of trimmed limbs could be dangerous to us older folks that no longer have the best balance. If we were to fall into the rosemary, we'd likely be ok, but the others are likely to skewer us. I would suggest changing to low growing, softer shrubs.
