Look Elsewhere for That Oceanfront Room
We were going to be driving from the Olympic Peninsula to San Francisco and wanted to stop in Oregon. Did some research and decided on the Westshore Oceanfront in Lincoln City and so I made reservations ahead of time to make sure we got an ocean view room. It was the costliest stay that we had in the almost month long trip, but the photos and write-up looked so inviting I decided to splurge a bit. The great ocean view was accurate, but the motel itself is a bit tired, the room had a somewhat undesirable odor, they neglected to specify on their site that there is no elevator so the need to cart bags and ourselves 3 flights up an old wooden staircase was a surprise, the front desk leaves at 4:00 so don’t get locked out or have the toilet back up, there was an extensive list of things that you’d get charged extra for if you dared to not follow the rules, and the parking lot didn’t have enough spaces for the number of rooms so some had to park across the street in their alternate lot. After leaving we saw quite a few oceanfront motels that looked quite a bit more modern. While the Westshore might be a good place for a family spending a few days we were disappointed in the choice for our one night stay.

Gross
Arrived here tonight and left to go to another hotel. Stains all over carpet, weird smells, peeling linoleum, floor is sinking in the bathroom...I could go on. I paid wayyyy too much for this dump and feel really dumb and scammed. Run!

7 Rooms-7 Nightmares
I grew up in a third world country so when I say this motel was absolutely gross, it says a lot. Out of a group of 7 rooms (the place has 20 total) one smelled like urine, one smelled like cigarettes, all the carpets were a mess, the linoleum was sticky, chain locks were literally broken off doorframes, one entry door knob was so loose it might fall off at any moment and we found what looked like a piece of a condom stuck to one of the bed sheets. No one was at the desk that night so we had to book rooms at another hotel. When I contacted the hotel the next morning they told me their management would not be happy about refunding money and then informed me that since we booked through ******** there was nothing they could do anyway. I'm out over $1000 with little hope of getting it back. On the other hand, the bed seemed like it would be very comfortable although I was not willing to lay on it to see for sure.

Won’t return
3* for Pros: view, your own deck, dog-friendly, large room (2bdrms, living room and kitchen), location to food/venues, inexpensive for the location and size of room. It was nice to have a place to play cards and socialize. Cons: run-down/outdated, definitely NOT in compliance with COVID-19 Cleaning Mandates, furniture worn out and dirty, carpets disgusting (bring slippers).

Awful-don’t waste your money
Booked through booking.com. Room nothing like shown. Booked two queens, got one. Which really wasn’t a deal breaker! Cleanliness was! It was very dirty. They threatened $50 cleaning fee if dishes were left dirty and entire days fee if you were late checking out by 1 minute. No early check in. 4:00 PM period. No exceptions. Cable box hanging on a nail on the wall. No elevator and no phones in the rooms which I wonder is even legal. Even in this day not everyone has a cell. Guess if you have emergency without cell you have to go to the office which also has strict hours. Heated by portable electric heater which could become a major fire hazard. This should be a HARD PASS!
