Clean and Central
We stayed at the Towneplace Suites in Bend, for two nights, on March 20 and 21. We requested a dog friendly room, as we were traveling with our two German Shepherds. The room was very clean, on the first floor, and at the end of the hall, which made walking the dogs in and out very simple and efficient. The staff was professional and very friendly. The property was located close to the middle of town, which was great for us because this trip was part vacation and part retirement property scouting. We would stay at this hotel again.

Great stay!
I have found my go-to hotel in Bend! The staff I met were friendly and helpful. I stayed in a Queen room, the bed was very comfortable, with lots of pillows. It's in a quiet area, no road noise. The kitchenette had a two burner cooktop, microwave, full size fridge/freezer, dishwasher and enough dishes, cutlery, pots and pans for your stay. You can also request other small appliances, like blenders and crockpots. Everything in the suite was clean and in good repair. I like lots of storage and this suite delivers! For a long-term stay there are dressers and a big closet with hanging space and wire racks. The bedside tables also offer a lot of storage. The bathroom was super clean and the vanity also has a lot of storage. The towels were nice and fluffy. I loved that the bathtub had a big grab bar and an anti-slip rubber mat. The hot breakfast was really tasty! Lots of food choices and can be as healthy --or not--if you want. There were 2 hot entrees. I had a delicious cheese and spinach frittata, oatmeal with blueberry and strawberry sauce, and fresh fruit. There are different kinds of yogurt, and several kinds of bread for toast. They had 2 kinds of scones and even gluten-free muffins. There's coffee available 24 hours a day!

Overall Not A Bad Stay
Two of us stayed here for one night on a business trip. I think the place is going through renovations?? I'm not 100% sure, but there were some areas that looked under construction. Covered with tarp. Stripped bare door frames. Chunks taken out of walls in the halls. I was worried when we pulled up because it looked like it might be falling apart. However when we stepped inside the room was not bad at all. The kitchenette was nice and clean. The bed was clean and comfortable. The bathroom didn't fell gross. There was however a weird smell in the room and the heat was one when we walked in, so it was muggy all night. If the place communicated that they were getting renovations done when we checked in, I think I might have given it a 5-star review. Overall not a bad stay and very nice staff.

Great location & a big breakfast
We chose the TownePlace Suites for our short February ski trip to nearby Mt Bachelor. This lodging suited us perfectly; we would stay there again if we return to ski. The location is ideal. Yes, it’s on a busy street, but this is the direct street that leads to Mt Bachelor. We had a room facing Century Drive rather than facing the parking lot, and only some street noise came through. While there was no on-site ski storage available, we found that our skis tucked under the bed quite nicely. We received a complimentary upgrade to a King which was appreciated (and fit more skis!) The suite had one large closet with two separated doors – one door in the entryway and one door in the bathroom. This was a good option to hang all of our wet ski gear. We used the kitchen area and appreciated the large fridge & microwave. We used the stove-top once (only one of the two burners worked, so I submitted a service report when we left.) We used the hot tub three times during our stay. The water was hot, there were ample towels provided, and the winter air was a nice contrast. The pool & hot tub area was covered with snow later in our stay, so we did not use it again. There was a lot of interior construction going on, but as we were gone all day, we seldom heard anything. Supplies are staged in the parking lot which uses quite a few spaces. Staff was helpful and pleasant. The breakfast staff was efficient and friendly – great way to start the day. The breakfast options were numerous. (I have added photos.) I found many healthful options like scrambled eggs or hard cooked eggs, cheeses, several kinds of yogurt, fresh fruit, and oatmeal. I was especially fond of the add-ins for the oatmeal and usually chose nuts, fruits, and more. There were a few other hot options that I did not have.

Terrible road noise. Platinum elite member and asked for a quiet room, away from road noise. Platinum elite member
Requested a quiet room away from the road. Was told that this was a quiet room, but in fact, it’s on a very noisy two road intersection. Platinum elite member, not offered an upgrade. Stayed over the summer at the same hotel with the same staff member, who did not offer an upgrade and also assigned to a noisy room. This is the last time we will stay at this hotel. This hotel has no soundproofing. Road and hallway noise is terrible. They do not take care of elite members. Pick another Marriott in Bend.
