Professional, clean rooms, responsive staff.
Responsive, positive, and professional staff. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Prices were reasonable. I would happily recommend staying here to others.

Nice and comfortable
I arrived to a quick check-in. My room was clean and spacious. Bed was comfortable and there is nice do park area. There was also plenty of well lit parking. I really enjoyed my stay here at Ashland. Thank you Timbers Inn and Suites for a wonderful stay!

Rude, then dishonest, then threatening?
RUDE staff. A hail of harassing demands in a phone call began to rain down about six PM on the night of my stay when I decided to answer a call from this hotel. A sharp-toned woman demanded to know when I would be arriving.... After politely telling her that I did not have my evening planned out, she then demanded an email address and credit card number over the phone, something I could not readily provide while driving and using the hands-free communication function of my car...As I politely explained that I wasn't used to having to make appointments to be able to check into a hotel, she snapped and began to shout over the phone. I then firmly informed her that I wished to cancel my stay and requested a refund. Unsurprisingly, people who behave as the employees of this business do will often project their rudeness onto others, and accuse others of rudeness when the victim simply asks for respect. Of course, she then slammed down the phone and refused to refund my money when Expedia called. She is, sadly, a person who enjoys the fruits of her disrespect, pushiness, and self-centered rudeness. The approach of this business is to demand that guests serve the convenience of the employees. If this is combined with rudeness, well you have what I experienced at the Timbers INN and suites. I then called Expedia, and was told by the agent that they had spoken to the same angry, rude employee I had (I made sure to confirm) and immediately recognized and totally empathized with my experience. Today, a man from this business called and a similar conversation unfolded. What seemed to have begun in civil fashion devolved into him making false accusations, claiming it was "normal" for hotels to call and make demands for appointments, email addresses , and credit card information (all previously provided by the customer) by phone. He then threatened to attempt to say bad things about me to "my professional community¨ .... doubling down with an abusive threat. When he, too, began to shout over the phone, I calmly and politely asked him to stop shouting and calmly and politely asked him why he was calling. When the shouted threats simply continued, I (this time) hung up the call. The vague and strange threats he levied today over the phone seem to be par for the course for this business, sadly. You can see others describe his behavior in other reviews of this business. I hope that my experience was an outlier, and I hope others do not experience the same. If you do, I also do suggest you post an honest account here. Should the business retaliate with dishonesty and/ or threats, or harassment, please do have the courage to report that here, too. Let's hope the business has the courage to be more kind, respectful, and (mostly) honest in the future. While not as common as with other businesses, it is important to note the fact that I am not the only customer who has suffered from the rudeness of staff here (see other reviews), and the fact that the hotel seems to leave the desk unstaffed for long periods of the business day. Indeed, the shouting, threatening man who made the harassing phone call to me today admitted that this business tries to skimp on staffing. I would think twice before staying here.

Comfortable place for a reasonable price
Comfortable, friendly, convenient. Not quite close enough to walk to the plays, but less expensive than the closer ones. No breakfast, but the grocery next door has an awesome deli. Great parking, good pizza next door. I don't know why they require me to use 200 characters.

A very sweet experience
I bought a room for family friends who stayed here while in town and I found the family that runs the hotel to be very kind. The grounds and pool are immaculate and they offer an affordable, sweet stay in Ashland. My friends said it was a great experience, so I will send family friends here again!
