I love the Newberry Hotel! The location is perfect, the staff is always friendly, and the recent renovation is stunning. The whole place has a cozy, modern feel that’s both stylish and comfortable. I’ll definitely be coming back!

What truly made the experience outstanding was the staff
I travel frequently for work, but this was my first visit to Bend, OR—and I can honestly say it has been one of my favorite work trips. The hotel itself is nice, but what truly made the experience outstanding was the staff. The front desk team was welcoming and helpful, but the person who stood out most was Shawna, the restaurant server and bartender. Shawna’s professionalism, warmth, and attentiveness created such a positive experience that I would specifically request to stay at this hotel on future trips. She is personable, engaging, and genuinely fun to be around—an excellent representative of your hospitality.

Dated Hotel with Limited Housekeeping
I recently stayed at this property and found the experience mixed. The room I was upgraded to (Room 236) was still quite outdated, and the air conditioning unit was so loud it made it difficult to sleep. The door also stuck and required a hard push to open. Daily housekeeping was minimal—towels were changed and garbage emptied, but the bed was not made and the room was not cleaned. Breakfast was another disappointment, with limited options and poor quality compared to other hotels in this category. While in the paid parking lot, after the second day, our car ended up with a cracked windshield. There are no outside cameras, and when I informed the front-desk staff, I was told it was at our own risk. We had to extend our stay one more night, which they did comp the parking for, but the situation was incredibly inconvenient. On the positive side, the staff was friendly and accommodating. I appreciated the gesture of an upgrade for my Gold Status, but overall, the property itself needs significant updating and improvements to amenities.
