Great hotel, great front desk manager (Amanda)
I can't say enough good things about Amanda (front desk) and Sweet Breeze Inn. I was coming from a very rocky experience 2 nights previous with a nearby town AirBnb, then the following night another hotel in Grants Pass that was not nearly as nice as Sweet Breeze Inn. I definitely had some PTSD from those experiences. I drove by on 6th St. and quickly saw the sign that said something about the yellow front doors on the rooms (they are beautiful) and cozy, comfy...something like that. And it was! The room I stayed in on the lower floor was fantastic. The price was excellent. And yes, Amanda was amazing. Great listener, friendly. And she has done so much in only 4 months! I am already looking forward to my next trip to Grants Pass. You will see a lot of options for lodging in this town if you have never been here, but many do not look good. This one is great.

Just had a lovely first meeting with the owner or night manager. He was extremely brief on the phone and practically hung up on me when I was inquiring my about amenities he offers. Then when I finally arrived and gave him my ID and debit card for payment he took a photo of it. Not really seeing that before with other hotels I politely asked if after my stay he deleted them. He responded yes and I mentioned iCloud backups. He then quickly gave me back my cards and told me to go to another motel. Keep in mind this is right at midnight after a 12 hour long road trip. Maybe the fact I’m a transwoman has something to do with it as well? 🤷♀️ Idgaf about the trans part but it certainly irks me that I can’t confirm 100% he truly deleted my info. I’m definitely going to be ordering a new debit card now. Oh well rather give money to someone nicer and not shady :)

DO NOT STAY AT THE (NOT) SWEET BREEZE INN AT GRANTS PASS!!
DO NOT STAY HERE! Claims reservations can be checked in at 3 pm. Arrived but the office was locked. The employee inside motioned us to the side window in the driveway, in the cold rain. Told us he could not check us in because the owner was not present and would not be back for 30 minutes. We had places to be and needed a shower so we left. The owner charged us for canceling the reservation even though the location was not ready to check us in. Contacted the location but they insisted on charging me a cancelation fee. WILL NOT STAY HERE IN THE FUTURE BECAUSE OF IT!

BEWARE!!! --And keep on driving.
The owner is a crazed, angry, bitter, supercilious person from "overseas." He will yell at you; he will threaten you; he will try to charge you for being 10 minutes past checkout time. He has even called the police on guests in the past. Everything at this hotel is decorated in second-hand Middle Eastern decor; everything is worn out, broken, dirty & substandard. Pay a few dollars more per night and keep on driving.... there are a dozen other, much, much nicer properties in Grants Pass just a few hundred feet beyond this dump.

Avoid this place!
1st, room door was wide open when we got there, for was dirty (see photo), towels were dirty (had to ask for new ones), and out toilet came pre-clogged. When asking the hotel to fix it, some black plastic came out (no idea what it was). Then was told it was fixed, it was not. I told the owner that the toilet was not fixed, he said it was (it would fill completely up, then drain slowly). I said that is not how a toilet is supposed to flush. He then said “Check out if you don’t like” and walked away. I literally had to chase him down to “try” to solve the problem. There was no trying here. I asked for a different room, nope, fully booked (yet you could book a room online), just check out was his solution. No refund either… Went to another hotel who laughed and said they have a reputation around town…
