Great place to stay
It was my husbands birthday, and we've been talking about retiring to Oregon, so we made a combined trip to celebrate and to check out the area. Hotel is easy to find and tucked away from the main road. Check-in was fast and easy, and the clerk was very informative. They even give you a paper that accurately describes the high and low tides. The room was very spacious. Our room did not look like most of the pictures offered from other viewers. The room looked updated and very clean, with a decent view of the ocean, which is less than a 5-minute walk to the beach. The room was spotless, and they provide a fridge/microwave, coffee pot, hairdryer, and iron & board. Bathroom (which is very important to me that it be clean and well maintained) was very clean. The only complaint is when we took a shower. The bathroom took on a sour smell. It wasn't the towels as we checked those, seemed to be coming out of the pipes. There was no smell until we took a shower. We just kept the door shut. It was a small matter and won't deter us from staying again. Just want management to know about it. Overall, this place is a great find. Next time, we want to rent one of the cabins on the ocean. They take good care of the grounds and the staff show they care and they are not just there to collect a paycheck. At checkout, the girl who assisted us asked where we were from, and we told her Calif/Bay area. She also just moved to Oregon, and she provided us with a realtor in the area that took care of her. That was very appreciated. We plan to stay here again the next time we come out to Oregon, but, we will fly next time as it was a 9-hour drive from the Bay Area. Your butt is not designed to sit that long...lol. They do offer a continental breakfast of cereal, bread, boiled eggs, and hot breakfast sandwiches. We did not take advantage of this while staying, but it was a nice option.
Wonderful double room overlooking water
Our room was probably at the high end of their rooms since it was direct oceanfront and had a beautiful balcony with 2 chairs. We didn't even need the fireplace in the room to make this a special spot. There's a small kitchenette and an oddly separated toilet room and vanity area but it's the location on the water that's so special. You can walk down several flights of stairs and make it to the very flat sandy beach with amazing large rock structures you can walk among and even through! Our only issue with this place was the parking was very confusing. The complex is all split apart with motel sections and the larger oceanfront rooms like we had. There didn't seem to be any clear parking area for the oceanfront rooms on the street level.and some cars were parked overnight in what was marked handlicapped....with no sticker. So clearer parking instructions would have been good. The breakfast was served in the main lobby and was good enough. But the room was so beautiful with its ocean view that we'd recommend this to anyone.
Very clean and great view!
Easy access to the beach and we really enjoyed the view of the ocean! The rooms are fairly basic and there's no a/c so we slept with the window open. All staff were very friendly and helpful. 4 miles of beach for walking. Great stay and a great price!
The location was great! Just a short walk from face rock/the wizard's hat. There was a decent complimentary breakfast. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was for sure out dated, but it was clean. The bathroom was also notably clean and more updated than the main room. For the price, it was great. We didn't come expecting the Ritz-Carlton, so we were not let down. They even provided some dog treats and a doggie blanket for our 4 legged family! We would definitely stay here again if we returned to Bandon!
Good beach view
It’s that old adage ‘ you get what you pay for’. Just passing through so went with most economical option. The bed was a double which is tiny by today’s customs. We were challenged!!! The staff were lovely, the breakfast basic and ok and the pool was fine.
