WHAT ?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
So the reviews say go somewhere else... unless you want to hear screaming and be exposed to mold in the home- i'd listen to the warnings. I drove up here, they do have parking which is great. I was too tired to make a move to another location honestly. Upon arrival the woman who checked me in, Simone, wouldn't stop muttering things(extremely rude things) under her breathe while I was talking. I asked her to repeat herself for clarification and she's just staring into the distance and then randomly yelling things and pointing at the wall? The tour was incomplete; I didn't see many signs such as door and wifi codes. I even asked a staff member James where to find the codes and he ignored that question but did inform me that he called the cops recently. Then he was fired for that, by John. John wouldn't explain to me what the deal was with that woman. This place was like a nightmare. Simone had bruises all over her face and when I asked people about it they started to yell at me to not call 911. It took me hours to calm down after the initial shock of processing everything. My best guess is either mental disorder or autism? The bathroom and the dorm smelled of mold and I let John know. Barely anyone was there it was so quiet and eerie to be in the common spaces. In the morning after my first night Simone was screaming awful things, and I could barely make sense of what she was screaming about. I really tried my best to enjoy the place. The boat launch is so dangerous! Almost all the railings and deck boards are rotted out all over the property. It's an absolute shipwreck of a place. If you don't mind trying to work through tons of hazards to get some time on the river then this is for you! I am trying so hard to be honest here, I will never ever in my right mind go back to this place. I really didn't know what to expect but I am glad I made it out alive.

Grungy tho friendly
Friendly but dirty and in disrepair. Very nice and helpful welcome person, but the kitchen was nasty and the room was a bit broken down and only halfway clean

Avoid this hostel
There were spiders in my bed both nights and my bunk area was dirty. The bathroom smelled of mold and was dirty. The kitchen and dining area was cluttered, dirty, and unorganized. There wasn't enough space to lock our luggage for each person in the women's dorms. Only the four lockers were supplied which wasn't enough for 10 occupants in the room. Even if I did lock up items in the lockers, they were small and dirty. I've stayed in numerous hostels abroad and this is the worst condition of a hostel I've ever stayed. Those dorm cubby beds are dirty and lacked air circulation. I would give this hostel a 0 rating. I would never recommend this hostel to anyone.

Avoid it
Avoid it at all cost Airbnb should remove its false and misleading posts. This is not a typical hostel or motel. While a great location its apparent new owner caters to long term renters not travelers. This brings a different vibe more like an apartment complex for the poor and down on their luck. As long as you know what your getting you can make an informed decision. One thing airbnb said was breakfast was included. When I asked about it the owner said "there is pancake mix in the fridge we dont provide more than that" Dirty, small smelly dorm and very strange vibes... Down hill from there I wont be back

Horrible place
Halfway house not a hostel. Ive traveled 30 plus countries and stayed at many hostels. This is not a hostel but a long term rental more like an apartment. Thats not bad on its face but the long term renters are not travelers but due to poor choices in their adult lives have nothing, so cheap living in dorm facilities is better than a tent. The owner caters to this group. Drugs, alcohol and mental illness seems to be the common element bonding these people together. Avoid this place in less you fit the profile and enjoy living among this group.
