Come and enjoy the coast the way it was meant to be, quiet and secluded, with miles of sandy beach to walk and explore. You can also just sit and enjoy the sunset with an unsurpassed view from Boiler Bay to Cascade Head. With restaurants and shopping close by and a free casino shuttle on the weekend, there are plenty of options to choose from.

On the beach
This motel is older, modest & no frills. But it was clean, very comfortable beds, small kitchenette with refrigerator, dishware, microwave & coffee pot with coffee, and a nice working fireplace. When they said on the beach, they weren't joking! Every room has a balcony 9 steps from the sand. Throughly enjoyed sitting on our deck and listening to the waves. Not walkable to restaurants, but a short 5 - 10 minute drive. Please note, there is no elevator and 3 stories. Request 1 st floor if you have any mobility issues. Also, there is no A/C .. at first it worried us, but just leaving the slider open at night, cooled it right off. Parking is somewhat limited, but overflow is just across the street. Easy! We will return. Good review especially because of beach location!

A visit to my childhood
Growing up in the 60's & 70's my family stayed at the Nelscott motel a couple times. Flash forward to last weekend my wife and I stayed at the Sandcastle. We had a great getaway , rockhounding the beach and eating amazing meals up and down the coast. Our king fireplace room was clean and met our needs. The parking lot is tight so finding room for our Ram pickup was a fun challenge ,but do-able.

Average roadside motel but unbeatable views
The motel is a bit long in the tooth...it appears updates are few and far between. Clean enough, but there was dust on the dresser in our room. Very small room, though king size bed is nice, and especially small bathroom. Has a fireplace, microwave, refrig. The best part is the little balcony where you can sit and watch the surf for a 180° view of the Pacific Ocean...this part is wonderful! Great place to walk miles on the flat beach and we even discovered some stairs nearby for a morning workout!

Bad place
No parking at half capacity there was no where to park. Terrible location in lincoln city. Good beach was the only positive. The wifi didnt work at all. The customer service was terrible. Rooms were adequate.

Good location, older hotel, wifi is great
The parking is limited here, but seemed to open up more often as I pulled back here after making an errand. The TV and wi-fi are great, this is the best and most consistent that I've been to in a long time. The balconies are nice, but they very close to your neighbor. So if that bothers you, may want to see if thats a dealbreaker or not. Overall, I've been very happy. It's noisy as the walls are imaginably paper thin, but it's still a great place and a great deal too.
