Sorry Marriott, this one needs your attention. As Bonvoy members we stay in Residence Inns all the time and almost always have a good experience. Won't stay at the Eugene property again because: 1) They charged $75 pet fee.....more than we've ever paid anywhere, 2) They charge $10 for parking while they have a huge parking area that wasn't even full, 3) The breakfast was sad & tired to say the LEAST. At 9am there was 1 little yogurt left, stale breads, bad scrambled eggs, etc. We walked out and found a coffee shop (Farmers Union - excellent!), 4) The fridge in our room had not been cleaned out. There was still old food in it from the previous guest. This hotel badly needs a refresh/update. The one positive: the staff was friendly.

Room was quiet and clean. Nice to have the gas fireplace for extra warmth. Bed was acceptable, not hard but not soft. Biggest complaint was we never could seem to get hot water in the shower or sink. At best, it was lukewarm which made for a chilly shower in January. Staff was very pleasant and helpful when we interacted with them.

I stayed at this hotel for nearly four months due to a flood in my home. Colleen and her staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and lower my stress load by helping me with whatever needed to be done. They greeted me everyday when I came back to the hotel from work. I was going through a stressful situation and they were so kind to me each day. Best staff in a hotel I've ever seen. The rooms were terrific and had a nice kitchen and a wonderful bed. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Eugene or even locals like me that need a hotel as well.

Exceptional hotel experience
Graciously received a complimentary upgrade to a 2-Queen suite which gave our mentally/emotionally challenged daughter a bedroom to herself. As well, hotel service was top-notch and accommodating. An exceptionally well-managed property, which we will stay at every opportunity we have have to do so.

Newly remodeled but way too dark This place has new carpet, light fixtures and paint. But it’s way too dark. Not enough light for business computer work. Still has the old fashioned popcorn ceilings in the rooms. And the sleeper sofa is a slick, slide off, noisy fake Lester. And the cable tv has the same programming on two different cable channels - all mixed up - asked the staff twice to get tv provider to fix- showed them on the dining area TV - they agree it’s a problem but don’t get it resolved.
