I'll be honest -- I was looking for a budget option. With lodging, that typically means holding your nose and hoping for the best. But this place is a real gem! I stayed in one of the "Economy" rooms and at check-in, was pleasantly 'reminded' that the description online says there's a king-size bed and little room for anything else. I don't know what they're talking about! There was a refrigerator WITH freezer compartment, microwave, Keurig with removable reservoir, desk and chair, closet and half bath. Having just assumed there would be no k-cup coffeemaker, I didn't bring my own but the supplied pods were cheerfully swapped for decaf in the reception area. My dog and I had a terrific stay and will happily stay here again when traveling to the area. Thanks, Park Motel!

Oregon coast adventure
Near to Old Town in Florence, this motel and cabins vacation spot has what you need. I had my whole family, 6 in total, in one cabin (Lighthouse) comfortably. Spotlessly clean. Two bedrooms, a futon, kitchen with full-sized and new appliances (fridge, range, and microwave). Staff was informative and unobtrusive. I didn't check into the kitchen kit they had on offer, as we brought all of our own supplies. A picnic table, grill, and fire pit are available for each cabin. The entrance is a little hard to see at first. So quiet at night! Laundry room had newer machines (coin operated). Like any privately owned place out at the coast you might encounter some quirkiness but of the best kind. I would 100% recommend.

I was put off kilter at check-in when the receptionist demanded a tip be added to our room charge for the cleaning staff … “you probably won’t have any cash at the end of your stay” he cheerily explained. We hadn't even seen inside the room at this point. They also leave tip envelopes in the room for the cleaning team in case you want to tip twice. The room itself was very dated and old. The shower and toilet were in a separate room with a door but the wash basin was part of the bedroom itself; very strange. Everything in the room worked okay, the fridge kept food cold, the wifi was strong and the sheets clean. The walls were adorned with aggressive warning messages not to smoke or damage the towels/equipment, or you’d pay a price. The drains outside reception were being repaired, large open holes surrounded that area of the car park, so you had to be very careful manoeuvring your car into the parking spaces as these deep holes were not cordoned-off. Not an enjoyable stay, I cannot recommend this motel.

with most of what you'd expect except no suitable surfaces for writing or eating. Coffee was good quality and Black tea also available. Bathroom area was tight and lighting poor, mirrors either too high or not in a well lit spot. No breakfast so relatively expensive. No food outlets close by, had to go several miles to find a restaurant.

We loved every bit of our stay!
Practically everything especially the very friendly and accommodating staff and owners! This was our 1st time in Oregon after a failed attempt last year due to a snow storm. We chose Park Motel and Cabins not just for its great reviews but for the convenient location to destinations we planned to go. The owners were very friendly and kind to check & fix an outlet for the hair dryer to work plus they allowed us to use the outdoor grill complete with charcoal and lighter fluid, made our 5-nights stay feel so homey. The rooms are clean with comfy beds, clean sheets and towels and good choice of complimentary coffee. We'll definitely stay here again! 😊
