My two friends and I drove out to the coast for a night, and booked this place to stay. It was cute enough when we pulled up, and having the code for the door and not needing to worry about a key or checking in was nice. But good lord, the second we opened the door, we were absolutely assaulted by the most heavily-fragranced room I’ve ever had the misfortune of stepping into. One of my friends has chronic migraines that are triggered, among other things, by fragrances, and it took him a good 30 minutes of sea air about 15 feet from the ocean to clear the smell from his head, and for the instant migraine to begin to abate. Heck, I *don’t* have scent sensitivities of any kind, and you couldn’t have paid me to sleep here. I also got a headache and felt a little queasy. A shame, because the place itself was cute and perfect for our needs. Alas, we walked out, shut the door, and found a different place to stay that evening. Also, if you check in after business hours and decide you’re not going to stay, be sure to call the property management company’s number that night and at least leave a message. I wasn’t able to call until three days after our 20-second stay, and we were not able to get a refund. That was on me I suppose, so be a bit more proactive than I was if you want your money back.

This was, hands down, one of the most disappointing travel experiences I’ve had. The room was unclean—pet hair covered the surfaces, which is especially concerning since I have severe allergies to cats and some dogs. I reached out to the host in hopes of finding a resolution, but their ONLY response was, “This probably isn’t the place for you.” No apology. No support. No concern. I had to rely on my inhaler just to make it through the night. The bathroom doorknob was falling off, pink mold lined the shower curtain, and the cookware was dirty. The bed and sofa mattress were so worn down that I could feel the springs. As if that weren’t enough, the refrigerator made a subtle, eerie noise every 30 seconds—it sounded like a zombie groaning through the night. If you care about health, cleanliness, or basic comfort, I strongly recommend avoiding this place. It certainly wasn’t the place for me—and quite frankly, I wouldn't suggest it for anyone.

Finding Oregon lodging was a challenge. And we never know what we’ll find. Netarts is 20 or so miles from Tillamook with few lodging options. I found this place and thought it was a bit of a Condo-type lodging. They were very attentive in their messages about staying here and providing instructions. It is a contact-less place. They provided a door lock code and instructions on its use. Different than I expected. It is actually a small apartment complex turned into lodging with maybe six to eight units. The place is a bit rustic but well maintained. Furnishings eclectic with a bit of wear. The ‘room’ has two rooms, a bedroom with wall-to-wall bed and a living room/kitchenette. The bedroom has just the bed with two bed tables. In the living room there is a couch, an easy chair, a full table and chairs and a credenza. The kitchenette is really a full kitchen on one wall. Full size range, microwave and refrigerator. It’s really rather nice. And comfortable for the two nights we stayed here.

This is a return trip for us. This time unit 3. We love how they focus on having a comfortable place to sit as well as a good sleep. Decent wifi, but great coffee. Unit 3 has a full size range & fridge, but smaller bathroom. Sparkling clean. No funky smells. Great redecorating.

Beautiful hotel
Perfect location, just walk down the staircase and you are on The beach. It’s quiet and the cleanest hotel I have ever been in. Very well maintained and will definatly stay here again. Comfortable bed and pillows, great heat and comfortable couch. The kitchen had everything you need to cook a meal and all full size appliances.
