Not worth the money, stress, or time
Not a great experience. Not as good as the hotel used to be years ago. Being a WYNDHAM property, we thought it would be a good choice. NOT SO! Liked · The girl we worked with was fantastic, always hustling for her visitors. She tried to make us happy when moving our room. She was probably the redeeming grace for this stay. Basically the carpets / hall were clean, as well. TV was easy to use and had an acceptable amount of channels to choose from. The waffle maker was nice, but every waffle stuck to the iron, due to no grease/spray being available to use. Disliked · 1st room given to us was not cleaned! messy, slept in bed, full trash cans. Our room was not even on the schedule to be cleaned that day, supposedly due to a new system. We were told she was trying to give us a discount due to this initial problem, but was unable to because we prepaid the room thru a 3rd party site. ?? Why should this be a problem? The 2nd room had lots of issues. In a handicap accessible room, the frig was so low to the floor it was almost impossible to reach anything in there. The frig door had no bars to hold the food/drinks on them. The food was constantly falling out every time we opened the door. The frig froze our apples, eggs, cucumber slices and waters Only 1 chair in the room for 2 of us to sit on. The toilet paper holder had no roller so we had to balance the roll on the grab handle. The area behind the toilet was not cleaned. The shower tiles were mildewed. The shower curtain was disgustingly full of mildew across the bottom. one reason for this is that the curtain rod was set a bit too low, allowing the curtain to fold on itself on the bottom of the shower, staying wet. Although the shower curtain was sufficient to do its job, it really was a cheap one. Cheap holders as well. There was NO WHERE to place a bar of soap, bottle of shampoo or gel, etc. We had to balance these items on the hand rail. The shower holder would not stay up and kept sliding down, making it hard to shower without holding the shower head. The HOT/COLD in that room has been INSTALLED BACKWARDS!! Hot means cold, Cold means hot! Silly! The toilet was not correctly seated or needs to be supported because it made a noise every time we stood up. The shelf with the sink didnt have sufficient room for our toiletries. Our room was NEVER cleaned once we got there, and no supplies were offered. I had to go looking for toilet paper after the 2nd day. The breakfast is basically bread and coffee/juice. I.e. bagels, waffles, sliced bread and cereal. That got tedious after 2 days. Only 2 types of cereal were offered...honey nut cheerios type, and a raisin bran. The only fruit available were apples, and some bananas. Bananas were very scarce. The walls were SUPER THIN. We heard everything all night, every night. The advert says heated pool, but The pool was closed even though the temp was over 80 outside. Very disappointing. WAY TOO EXPENSIVE for what we received! The posters in the lobby say "An overnight stop is a vacation at a Howard Johnson's Motor Lodge". This was a long ago notion.. These hotels don't live up to this any more....sadly

The Best Customer Service Ever!!
I recently stayed at this hotel with my son as we were in town for a funeral. Not the most exciting trip but the young lady working the late shift made my night by really taking customer service to another level. As we were checking in I was kinda joking with her and said honey when you get a chance can you bring a glass of red wine to my room. Well I know that they don't serve wine but it really did sound good to end my stressful drive there. Well wouldn't you know it an Uber delivery driver showed up with a small bottle of red wine on ice right to my door. Now, I don't know if it was her or not because when I called to say thank you and later tried to tip her. She declined the tip saying she didn't do anything to deserve that. But she did say it's It's not to hard and feels good to take that extra step to make someone's day better especially our customers.

Never again
We booked a room by calling the hotel directly, when we showed up we were told they cannot find our reservation. When I showed the gentleman the email confirmation, he said oh, I will figure it out. After almost 15 minutes he finally spoke again and that was to tell me he needed my license plate information for my vehicle. I went outside to get my license plate information and came back inside to give it to him when he said hold on I’m not ready for it. I’ll have you write it down on your registration paperwork. After about five more minutes he asked me how I wanted to pay for the room and I said with credit card, he then took a long rambling several minutes long speech to explain to us about the $150 incidental hold. I said that’s fine and handed him my credit card, he got up from the desk after taking my credit card and walked around the corner out of our site and was gone for several minutes. When he finally came back, I asked him why he took my card and walked away. He said he had to go call his babysitter for something about his daughter and then began to tell us about his daughter and her special needs. We were very tired and just wanted to go to our room to relax. He finally gave me the registration paperwork to fill out. While I was filling out the registration paperwork, I missed one of the spots initialing for some thing, and he became extremely agitated. after I initialed the box , he pulled out his cell phone and again walked to the back area without giving us a room key or giving me my drivers license and credit card back. I called out to him several times and he did not come back out for several more minutes. When he did, he was talking on the phone and just stood in the doorway, staring at us while he talked on his phone. He finally took a break from his phone call and asked if we needed any help, I informed him that I needed my credit card, drivers license and keys to the room. He insisted that he had given me my credit card and drivers license back and then made us a room keys. After going back-and-forth for a minute, he finally jumped on the camera system, which is right there at the front desk next to the computer, which I could see and he pulled up the cameras to look and see if he had given me my credit card and drivers license back. this took another 10+ minutes I sent my wife I had to go to the room while I waited. After watching the camera footage and seen that he did not give me my documents back, he went into the back lobby and retrieve them. At this point I was furious and exhausted and asked for the managers information, he then became extremely agitated again, and said I am the manager at this time. I asked him for his name, and the name of his supervisor. He told me his name was Brian and that he was the manager that I would have to deal with. After coming back from dinner and drinks with friends later on that night, I stopped by the front desk and talked with a wonderful young lady name, Liz. She informed me that the guy that I had had issues with was not the manager, and that his name was in fact, Daniel. She took my information and said she would pass it on to the owner. This was almost 10 days ago, and I have yet to receive any call from anyone, I called back to the property to ask for the manager and wouldn’t you know it Daniel answered the phone . I thought I would play along with his charade and informed him about what had happened, he informed me that he would reprimand Brian. Lol after all of this, I don’t even know how to describe the terrible condition the room was in. The heater did not work. It just blows, cold air, more than half the channels on the TV were frozen, there was a homeless gentleman sleeping in the stairwell for several hours overnight. In the morning when we got up to leave, we did not even want to bother with the breakfast, as we were loading up the stuff in our car, my daughter found hypodermic needles laying on the ground next to the car. My wife had walked over to Dutch brothers, which is next-door and on her way back stepped over a giant pile of human feces in the parking lot right next to the front door. She went inside to inform the front desk person but of course it was Daniel again so she just came out to the car. After being informed by my daughter, about the pile of hypodermic needles laying on the ground next to our vehicle, my wife became extremely upset and went back inside. As she was telling Daniel about what was in the parking lot, he said welcome to Salem.

Filthy and an absolute dump in a shady area
This place, if you can find it, it tucked behind a busy street. Property and rooms are garbage. Room was filthy and stunk. Random junk vehicles in parking lot, cop car there late at night wasn’t a surprise. Don’t waste your time or MONEY here.

It works.
Room was clean but my kids and I didn't feel secure. Door over bolt was broken, hole in ceiling and bathroom needed work. Breakfast was doable. Kids loved the pool but had to ask for towels. TV remote didn't work.
