It isn’t safe to stay there.
This is a very low end motel. Stains on the carpets, peeling paint, missing lightbulbs, etc. Housekeeping is nonexistent unless you ask for it specifically. However, it really concerns me is safety. They have the old-fashioned physical key on a fob. There are several for each room. Anyone with access to those keys can enter your room at any time of day or night, with you there or not.

Disappointed!
This my second visit. I was here 6 years ago, I was so disappointed by the conditions of the room. Broken blinds and super dirty windows, warped doors that were noisy and difficult to open and close. The bathroom wasn’t so much dirty but it could really use some paint on everything and caulking around bare edges. Old dirty glue residue on the outside bottom of the bathtub. I’m sorry to say we won’t be back!

GOOD ENOUGH FOR THE PRICE
The Holiday Motel is a basic old property that's been maintained just enough to be acceptable. My tiny room (#29) had a queen bed and it was clean but featured tired carpeting, a beat up door and a noisy but decent window ac unit. The walls were in need of a paint job, too but it wasn't awful. The lighting was bright and harsh but at least the bedside lamps had outlets in them. A fridge, microwave and coffeemaker were also included (I didn't use them but they're nice to have). The bathroom was small but clean and updated, the water pressure was good and there is ample parking. The guy behind the front desk was polite and the area is close to restaurants and markets. Would I stay here again? Yes, but only if the price was once again $90 (or lower).

A Hidden Gem with Five-Star Hospitality
We weren’t expecting much more than a clean place to crash for the night, but the Holiday Motel in Bend ended up being a highlight of our entire trip. We showed up hours early, nervous since our online reservation had only confirmed a request, not a guaranteed booking. We just wanted to be sure we had a place to sleep that night. However, every worry melted away the moment we stepped into the office. The staff was absolutely incredible—genuinely kind, welcoming, and attentive in a way that’s rare even at high-end hotels. Even though check-in wasn’t for several more hours, they told us they’d go ahead and start preparing our room immediately. We told them we planned to return later, but spotted a cozy little outdoor lounge nook nearby and decided to hang out for a bit. Within minutes, the man from the office noticed us sitting in the sun and came over, unprompted, to install an umbrella at our table to shade us from the heat. A few moments later, the woman came out and handed me a small, beautifully crocheted blue pouch filled with what I can only describe as premium candy loot—we’re talking Wild Berry Skittles, seven different types of Reese’s, and other top-tier snacks. It was such a sweet, personal touch that totally caught us off guard. We weren’t planning on staying in the lounge that long, but before we could head into town, they came back out to let us know the room was ready—early. Not only that, but they had upgraded us from a regular room to a VIP suite with a huge private patio. It’s rare to find this level of hospitality, care, and attention to detail anywhere, let alone in a modest roadside motel. The people running this place genuinely care about their guests, and it shows in every little thing they do. We will absolutely stay here again the next time we’re in Bend. If you’re on the fence, just book it—you won’t regret it.

Great Place, Minor Issues.
Checked in for a great price, I got a very well renovated small room with a comfortable bed, lots of stations on the TV, refrigerator, strong wi fi, and a spotlessly clean bathroom, also renovated. The downside: I could hear everything that was going on in the parking lot but once I went to sleep, no problem.
