The hotel is stylish and has an excellent location right downtown to walk to all the great restaurants and the theater. The vibe is a little hostelish which is fun, there's cool common space with free coffee and snacks. My rating would be higher if they spent a little money on some appropriate bedding for the king bed, the fitted sheet on ours was so thin it was transparent and the top sheet was clearly polyblend. They still had winter weight blankets/comforter on the bed which was also unpleasant. And lastly the room cooling needs to be more efficient and less loud.

My husband & I won an evening at The Columbia Hotel in Ashland, Oregon last year and stayed this past weekend! It is a treasure for locals & travelers. They offer rooms for everyone’s needs. Stylized with unique furniture & comfortable bedding, with ambiance and warmth. Preserved details from the original building gives it a classic feel mixed with contemporary additions to give it a fun flare. We had the best time being within walking distance from so many great restaurants, the movie theater and ice-cream! I hope you check them out sometime, you will be greeted by the charming & hospitable owner if you are lucky! Thank you for the fantastic stay!

Consistently Cool. Another great stay at the Columbia
The Columbia is my go-to when visiting Ashland, so much so that I have lost count of how many times I have stayed. The beds are so comfortable a good night's sleep is guaranteed. I love the snacks and coffee in the morning and the art is always so cool. Thank you (again) for a fantastic stay, we will be back soon!

A fun, artsy & friendly place to stay in downtown Ashland, OR.
Had a one night stay at The Columbia Hotel, so we could attend a music event in town and not have to drive the 70 some miles home that same night. A hotel with much history, in the downtown part of Ashland, with a retro, modern rehab from about a year ago. Quite a funky/quirky look on some old bones! Local art everywhere. Enjoyed wandering the halls taking everything in. Murals in rooms adding to the overall artist vibe. Liked the availability of a tiny, communal kitchen space to heat and store some food, kitchen basics supplied as well. (Utensils, bowls, plates, etc.) You can choose to share bathrooms or have your own in room facilities if you like the added privacy. We went with the latter. The hotel wasn't very busy, so we would have been fine with the shared set up. Room was comfortable and fit our needs. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. Flexible with a later check out, ok with us leaving our car in the hotel parking lot while we wandered town the next day, and just over all helpful and kind. The Columbia Hotel is a fun and friendly place to stay, especially if you like the convenience of being right in the middle of Ashland's scene.

A work in progress
The new owners J(?) and Andy are welcoming, helpful and creative. They are bringing new life to that lovely historic hotel. Comfy beds, clean, and still evolving as it just reopened in April and it is a work in progress. Interesting art and murals painted by local artists in the rooms and the walls. Looking forward to seeing the full transformation.
