Great Place To Stay
Fabulous Hotel with a great Breakfast. Quiet vroom. Only negative I could say is they need to upgrade their lightbulbs to daylight bulbs instead of soft white, which make the room extremely dark. They have one daylight bulb over the bathroom mirror but ALL lighting needs to change to the brighter lighting.

Beware the ants in hot weather!
The weather in Ashland was in the mid 90s. And it seems like the ants were crawling into our sink area to escape the heat. Quite a problem as it freaked out our kids. The staff was prompt to spray some non toxic spray on them. But the ant problem was present for both days of our stay. I wish there was more effort to really keep them out of our room--perhaps by getting to the root cause outside the walls. No guest likes uninvited bugs to be all over their coffee maker and toothbrush. Upstairs room made sure we didn't have pet hairs everywhere. Thank you for that. Beds were comfy. Air conditioner worked well, but seemed weaker at night than in the day. Service was pleasant all around. The highlight for our kids was the pool. It was exactly like the pictures--very nice. Towels for the pool are plentiful and good. Overall appearance of the room is surprisingly dingy. And breakfast was not bad. Not the best we've ever had, not that bad either. The proteins (sausages, bacon) were my favorite. (Eggs were so-so.) and they had a cool pancake roller machine that my kids loved. I'm surprised this hotel is rated #1 in Ashland. I feel like we've definitely stayed in better. The location is a bit far from the festival, but near Albertson's and the 5 freeway. Overall, the dingy room is ok given the beds are solid. But then the ants and the inability of the hotel to control that pushed us to a disappointing stay.

Nice hotel in a lovely setting
Lovely hotel in a beautiful setting. We took a pet-friendly room because it was on the ground floor. I was a bit afraid that the room would have a “doggy” odor, but I was pleasantly surprised. There was no odor in the room. The hotel was also within close walking distance of a brewery and a mexican restaurant.

Based on our quick stay
Our stay was just a quick overnight visit, but here’s how it went. I arrived later in the evening and was greeted by very hospitable and helpful staff, which was a great start. The room price was reasonable, and while the bed wasn’t anything special, it was decent — and the pillows were actually quite good. One of the highlights was the full breakfast offered in a large banquet-style area. It was nice not having everything crammed together, and the breakfast staff was extremely attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. The breakfast spread was impressive, with eggs, potatoes, sausage, cereal, pancakes, fruit, juice, coffee, tea, bagels, toast, and likely more that I didn’t get a chance to see. Definitely more than your average hotel breakfast. The location is convenient, right next to a Chevron gas station and a few other stores. Also, stepping outside the rooms gave us a beautiful view of the mountains — a really nice touch. Now for the downsides. The place could use a little TLC. The carpet could definitely use a good shampooing, some fresh paint wouldn’t hurt, and there are a few small things around the room that could be fixed up. One concern — we found a couple bugs in the extra blankets, so it would be a good idea to make sure those are changed out more frequently. All in all, it served its purpose for a short stay, and the staff really made a positive impression.
