Felt Right at Home
Stayed 9/8–9/12. The staff was warm and welcoming — especially Anita and Lindsey at the front desk. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the whole room felt like home. Breakfast was great each morning, and Bill did a fantastic job keeping everything stocked and fresh. Such a warm and cozy stay! I highly recommend!

A must stop on your journey through Lincoln City, OR
No early check in but stop on the way to sightsee or eat at one of the many restaurants close by. Beautiful large room with a balcony and if you tilt your head sideways you can see the ocean. Excellent indoor pool and hottub. Looking forward to spending the night and enjoying breakfast here

Not worth the cost of the stay
When other rooms showered you could hear the water extremely loud. Toilet seat broken, tub drain broken, wall paper pealing 5-6” up the wall which exposed the Sheetrock to children that was crumbling. The cold water was hot and the hot was cold. AC is in the room with a wall so needs to be on 60 to feel it a the sleeping room. Window is blocked by the carport roof. If you get room 212-214 ask for another room!!!!! The floor in front of the elevator is super soft and feels like you will fall through. Breakfast is ok, but does not change, ever!!! Same scrambled eggs and sausage every single day! There were a few other things but as a whole, I would just avoid it all together. This one in Lincoln city AND the one in coos bay!! I am a member of best western and I would not stay at either one of them again. Didn’t even get offered compensation.

Retaliation and Poor Data Handling—Be Cautious Booking Here
⚠️ I booked a room for my daughter, her partner, and their baby. The manager canceled it—after check-in—because I questioned how my personal data was being handled, and she retaliated. I made the reservation through Best Western’s 800 number on June 27. I specifically asked multiple times if I needed to be present for check-in. I was told no. On July 7, my daughter went to check in. After the payment was already processed the day before, I was told I needed to email a photo of my credit card and driver’s license to a Gmail address. I sent the documents to protect my daughter’s stay, but I was uncomfortable with the security of the request. I followed up by email expressing concern. I received no response. I then called the front desk directly to ask how my data would be stored or deleted. I was dismissed, spoken to with a condescending tone, and told by the general manager that she gets to decide who stays at her motel. I swore out of frustration (“F**k this”) and ended the call. Then I immediately reported myself and the incident to Best Western corporate. While I was still on the phone with corporate, the manager canceled the reservation and deactivated the room keys. When my daughter returned to the hotel at 9pm, exhausted and with her baby, she found her key no longer worked. She was told she was being removed because of my phone call—not anything she did. The manager ultimately allowed her to stay—because of the baby—and then asked to charge my card again. I sent someone from my business with my card and ID in person to make sure my daughter wasn’t displaced. This wasn’t about safety, policy, or professionalism. I had already paid. My daughter was already checked in. The manager made a personal choice to retaliate because I pushed back—first by email, then emotionally by phone—about how my private data was being handled. I’m a local licensed guide and tourism business owner. I work with visitors every day. I expect better from Best Western—and so should you. I’m following up with formal complaints to the Oregon DOJ, Attorney General, Best Western Corporate, and the property owners.
