This is a basic, competitively priced motel that has some attractive updates. We stayed in a 2 bedroom unit that oddly did not have a door or curtain between them. The bathroom was nicely updated as well and the heating/cooling unit was newer, worked well, but only served one of the two rooms, which worked well for us. Each room had a good sized TV. There was one problem that prevented a full star review: one corner of the main room that had a very bad stench; sewage like. We sprayed a lot of Lysol, which helped. No stains or signs of leaks. It may be a drainage issue. I did not report it to the office. Seemed pointless - no member of cleaning or maintenance staff could possibly be unaware of it. I would recommend this motel but definitely not room 115. Check thoroughly before signing in.

DONT STAY IN ROOM#116. This room is the smallest motel room in the building. This is the Bait and SWITCH ROOM. It doesn’t have a river view as advertised. It has a window with a view of the blackberry bushes at the back of the motel. There are NO CHAIRS,NO TABLES, NO DESK NO PLACE TO SIT OR EAT EXCEPT ON THE BED. No hairdryer as advertised. The heater is so close to the bed it kept turning off so we had to turn it up to 80degrees to get the freezing cold room warm.The floor was so sticky ,our shoes made suction noises when we walked. We paid $192 for half of a room. My husband had to go outside because he was feeling claustrophobic. I WOULD Have ASKED FOR ANOTHER ROOM,BUT THEY HAD A NO VACANCY SIGN UP. I don’t like to leave bad reviews, so I spoke with the Desk clerk at the office and he said he would make a note of it, but nothing could be done about it. I WASNT asking for a full refund, but that room is not worth $100 any night of the week. It’s not nice to take advantage of the elderly. Shame on you!

No frills motel
The lodging was no frills, room 116 was clean, but was shoebox size with a comfy bed and not worth the price we paid for the night. There is no where to lounge or relax on site out of the room and it was on a main road with a view of the parking lot and roadway so the noise made it a bit loud. However, I give the staff high marks for their customer service when we left an item behind and they contacted us promptly to retrieve it.

The woman at the desk was friendly, but she was not proactive in warning us about the quirks of our room. When we opened the door to the room it looked like one bed and we needed two, so I went back to the office and she immediately knew what I was going to say. She said there's a second bedroom in the back past the bathroom. It's nice that it was like a small suite, but a heads-up would've been nice. The TV remote was also strange, so I had to take it to the front desk so she could explain the convoluted way to get it to work. After that we settled in just fine. The room was clean with a TV in each bedroom. Not much in the area, but it was good for one night.

Located about 1/4 mile from down town. 3rd street stop for the trolley is close. The Motel was clean. Very basic- King size bed, fridge and microwave, pvt Bathroom (not shared) Pleasant office staff. Free parking, generally quiet. EZ check in /out. We would stay here again
