Impeccable
Wow! This Inn does not disappoint. It starts with a virtual check-in process. Once you book, the property contacts you to tell you how to access the property. There is no on-site check-in. I liked this. When I arrived, I easily found the parking (free) and entrance. Every door you will need to access for this property is coded specific to your booking. There are no keys. Just key pads. Loved that part. All rooms are on the top floor. So, easy to find. I stayed in the Nekia. This is a refurbished building by a husband and wife with a long architectural history. This place is CLEAN. I literally inspect hotel rooms thoroughly when I travel. I looked for things to be wrong and I couldn't find any. They thought of everything and in great detail. A huge amount of electrical outlets, free coffee, free complimentary bottle of wine, opener and pen. A thorough book explains everything you need to know to be comfortable ranging from where to eat and have fun, to how to operate the thermostat. I found it simple, but some might not. Appointments are modern, industrial and rustic. Wood accents abound. Everything is designed to be quiet, energy efficient and functional. The bed was amazing, the furniture comfortable and the outdoor common area with ping pong, bbq and shaded tables was a nice touch. Wood floors, modern appliances, a beautiful bathroom, more than adequate cupboard space and closet. Iron and ironing board are in the room. More to follow......

Exceeded our expectations
You can really tell that this place was restored by people with architecture and design backgrounds. We've stayed in a couple of restored buildings but this one was updated in all the right ways and so well designed. Comfortable seating area, comfortable sleeping area and even great how-to details on the HVAC system and appliances.

Anniversary weekend
I cannot say enough good things about Amity Flats. I will start by saying that the owner, Barb, emailed us a ton of suggestions on where to go and what to do before we came. If it weren’t for her we would not have known to make reservations before coming for all of the tasting rooms. The bed was so incredibly comfortable and the room so cool looking!

A great respite from a long day at work
I was working in Newport, OR , but because of my tight schedule, I decided to stay halfway between Portland and Newport. Amity Flats was a lucky find! It was beautiful, comfortable and filled with thoughtful extras like complimentary wine and fudge (what a great combo!). I stayed in Nekia, and the king size bed was one of the most comfortable I have had the pleasure of sleeping. I truly enjoyed the notebook which gave the history of Amity, Amity Flats and the owners, Rob and Barb. It gave me a more personal connection to my stay. Although I could not take advantage of the location on this trip, I do plan to return and enjoy Oregon wine country from Amity Flats. It's the perfect place!

A New York Loft in Oregon Wine Country
This place is worth a visit just for the room alone. It reminded me of a hip New York loft in a rehabbed industrial building, and in fact, that's what it was but it beautiful Oregon wine country. It was beautiful, inviting, relaxing and impressive in every detail. My favorite surprise was the ping pong table on the top floor deck. How much more fun could there be in the world - sipping wine and playing ping pong in Oregon's perfect summer weather. And the location is just wonderful. Amity itself is a small, compact, very cute town with everything you need - from a waffle bar to a fun local Mexican restaurant with great salsa. And it's very central to all the vineyards and wineries in the area.
