The staff was great. I was a little let down when I got into the room. It's the kind of place you're content to stay in if it's right on the beach or with a tasty view. The neighborhood was . . . mixed. The room was not especially well cleaned: the bed sheets were not pulled down all the way over the mattress, and the closet had a pair of boots and one dirty sock left behind. The shower head was plastic, and the bathroom sink threw the water down against the back of the sink; the faucet was very picky about how to turn it off. The air conditioner was also iffy: it would run when it wanted to, but didn't get the room cool enough for me to sleep well. We saw what they offered for breakfast and decided to walk around back to Brail's on 5th.

Eugene, OR
Stayed here while on a trip through Oregon, the rooms were really clean and the location was great. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The lady who worked overnight helped us check in quickly and had great recommendations on things we could do the next day downtown. Had she not been so helpful and knew the area, we'd never have gotten to see the Rose garden or the butte. Definitely will be going back soon.

Meh, good for a quick nights sleep.
The staff were friendly and accommodating. Reasonably clean and priced. Don't expect much, but one can make due for a night or two, especially if you're just passing through Eugene and need a place to crash before driving on. It's on and facing 6th, a very busy street, so if one is sensitive to road noise be aware this will be an issue. The "breakfast" is really just some granola bars, very cheap danish of some sort, bananas, and coffee and tea with no real milk of half and half for it. (not really a draw). If you're a breakfast eater expect to go to a restaurant before hitting the road or starting the day.

Friendly local place, great for marathon weekend!
We stayed for a night while in town for the Eugene marathon. The staff was really friendly and the place was nice and clean. It was a quick 3 block walk over to the shuttles for the race and they very nicely let us check in early and check out late (without even having to beg like most places!). They even had breakfast starting at 530, knowing the place was full of runners. It was nice and quiet and would definitely recommend for runners in future!

Nice, clean and quiet
Would I stay here again? Probably not. The good things about staying here were the beds were very comfortable. The linens, being white, were clean and I slept very well. The place was quiet, and although close to the highway overpass there was no outside traffic noise in the room. The place is well cared for and we felt safe. The not so good things were the first room had a strong room fragrance that was covering up mildew or something, and we had to change rooms. The second room was clean and no smells, until we used the shower and then a strong mildew smell appeared. We also found dead ants on the 3rd bed in our room. And a few live ants on the table and other places in the room. Now, to be honest, I think everyone is having ant problems this year. So I am sure they are doing what they can to eradicate them. The internet had just been upgraded, but was not reliable the 1st and 2nd of July. I was told that the provider had done some tweaking and it should be ok, but as we were leaving I didn’t check it. The staff are helpful, kind and accommodating. They didn’t push back when we asked for a new room, and reset the internet when it was acting up.
