It was a good time with Captain Jim and biologist Sandy! Super nice day! We saw a lot of wildlife, set crab pots going out and checked them coming in. Highly recommend.

Two Thumbs Way Up!
This is a top notch company offering two-hour boat trips to view sea life, as available. I love that they are flexible in their approach to each trip, making the most of what's out there on any given day. I've been on two trips with them this summer and the weather was completely different each time, so each trip was different, maximizing the experience. The captain (Jim) was fantastic and knew just where to go to see whales. The naturalists are very knowledgeable and interesting to listen to, relating both to the fishing industry here, as well as the wildlife. I highly recommend this trip for visitors and locals alike!

Whale watch
Absolutely excellent trip out of Newport harbor. Found Grey whales feeding close by and watched them surfacing and diving for another bite for about an hour. They put on quite the show close to our boat! The naturalist taught us about them and the environment. Crab pots were thrown out prior to leaving harbor and then retrieved on return. The children on our boat got to help with that process. They were thrilled! Excellent guide and Captain and boat was comfortable.

Best way to watch whales with kids. Pretty mellow boat
Sophie and Captain Jim were both incredible on this tour! It was so fun, they made sure we were safe and taken care of and had great explanations the whole time. We have 3 kids (7, 5, and 2) and this was great for them as they had the indoor seating area that is covered and warm. We came in sweats and that was the perfect call given the wind out on the ocean. We saw several whales, a jelly fish, and pulled crabs out of the ocean and held them. Captain Jim even allowed the kids in the cabin and helped them steer the boat around which really made them feel special. 10/10 recommend this tour!!

The Newport Fireworks were AMAZING, and we loved the boat trip up the river! The only thing that took away from our excursion was the dizzying circles as the captain kept turning the boat during the display. Three members of our group have mobility issues and couldn't watch the fireworks because the boat never stopped moving and turning. (It also created more exhaust fumes at the back, which made us cough.)
