Sam Brown Horse Camp is the only horse camp in the Galice Ranger District and offers seven camp sites. Facilities include handicapped accessible toilets, horse corrals, trailer sites, restrooms, drinking water and picnic tables.
Directions: From Grant's Pass: Travel northwest on Highway 5 to Merlin Galice Road. Follow this road for approximately one mile, and make a left onto Forest Service Road 25. Follow 25 for approximately 12 miles to Forest Road 2512. Follow 2512 west for half a mile to the horse camp (adjacent to the Sam Brown Campground).
Seasonal Access: Normal Services Available: May-October (Campground may be open beyond these months with limited services.)
