Campsites are located along Ochoco Creek in a lush setting of ponderosa pine and aspen. Fishing in the creek is fair for small rainbow trout. A large group picnic area with a beautiful log shelter is available by reservation. It is a perfect setting for weddings, family reunions, and other group events. The nearby Lookout Mountain Trail invites hikers, mountain bikers, and horseback riders into the scenic Lookout Mountain Recreation Area – 15,000 unroaded acres closed to motorized vehicles most of the year, but open to snowmobiles during winter months.

Directions: From Prineville: 25 Miles east on Hwy 26 and County Road 23 (about 9 miles from junction with US Highway 26), across from the Ochoco Ranger Station.

Facility Type: Campground
