Happy Camp is located along Dairy Creek which provides fishing access. “CCC” shelters built in the 1930’s provide a historic touch. Facilities include nine tent and trailer sites (first-come, first-served basis), some pull-throughs, three 1930’s era picnic shelters, and drinking water is available at Clear Springs, one and a half miles west on road 047.
Activities include horseshoe pits, stream fishing for stocked rainbow trout,
bird watching and wading.
Directions: From Paisley: Travel southwest on Mill Street until it becomes Forest Road 33 at the "Y" junction. Stay to the left and continue on Forest Road 33 for 20 miles. At the "T" intersection with paved road 28, stay to the left. Take Forest Road 28 for 2 miles. Just before crossing Dairy Creek, take a left on Forest Road 047. Two miles on Forest Road 047 and the entrance to Happy Camp is on the left.
