Del Rey offers picnicking and beach activities including walking on the beach, beach fishing, and kite flying. In addition the park offers horseback riding from a private concessionaire stables in the park.
The ocean is a just a short walk from Del Rey’s quiet, secluded parking area. If ever there was a place to play, fly a kite, build a sandcastle or picnic, this is it. The sunsets can be spectacular, too. A horseback riding concessionaire is active in the park with beach rides available.

: The Oregon coast receives abundant rainfall, mostly between October and April. July and August bring the best chance for clear days. Summer temperatures are normally moderate and almost never hot. Winter temperatures are normally cool at the lower elevations and cold at the higher elevations. Although snow is possible in the lowest elevations, it is infrequent and does not stay on the ground for long.
Location: Del Rey Beach is located on Oregon's North Coast. It is found two miles north of Gearhart off U.S. Highway 101.
